Ampere to be unveiled next month, expected these to fall further.
Which organ is worth this GPU?

Would this card be any good for lemmings?

Yes because it is in for an extreme drop very soon
On the upside, you only need one organ for this, you'll need two for the 3080

No game is worth this kind of money to my mind, but obviously it appeals to some
New graphics cards are roumored to be releasing in july of this year, should probs wait.

Hopefully they will be more reasonable on the prices this upcoming gen!
Must have a TWIN FAN.
Setting yourself up for some pain in a few months when the 3080Ti and 5900 XT may launch
At this point its worth just waiting a couple months with further news of RTX 3k and RDNA2 leaking out

Nvidia ramped graphics cards up to such crazy prices. Hopefully ampere performs, but then big Navi on RDNA2 makes a compelling buy. What that would mean is pressure on price and better value for money.

Rumours of intel releasing cards too, when they drop theirs it will hopefully put more pressure on AMD and Nvidia so we can all have a fair priced gpu
Wow, it's almost at what the xx80Ti MSRP should be.

Intel are going for low to mid range at least initially and it will take them at least a couple of years to be truly competitive. Nonetheless we're already seeing cards like the 5600/5700 force price cuts so hopefully RDNA2 is comeptitive enough (should be) to bring the higher end back into more reasonable territory. But yea I agree. Even if Intel's GPUs are as lacklustre as their CPUs, just the presence of them being in the market should force the others to do better.

This or the MSI Gaming X Trio ?

The gaming trio but its over £200 more, this is the last card the seller has at this price

The Gaming X is not worth the price premium. Zotac also have a UK support centre, where as for MSI its in Europe.

This is a reference PCB, FYI

At this time, the Apendix only I'd say. Prices are going to drop significantly
Still ridiculous even if they knocked another £100 off. Hopefully big Navi isn't too far away and we get some competition at the higher end.

No. It may run tetris though at low fps
One for the graphics gorpers not the gamers.

Simple solution - buy when you need stuff. Will save you a fortune.

Rumour is that Intel's graphics division is in a real sorry state, with quite a few sackings recently, and their first GPU will only be released as a developer kit, not a consumer product. More rumours putting it around 2070 performance and still nowhere near release, which is far from good.

In all, I wouldn't expect an Intel DGPU until at least 2023. Even then, I wouldn't be expecting it to be competitive based on current murmurs.

Ah, didn't know that they where in a bad place, I would say that was a shame but I think they make enough to get by

Maybe I'm a bit off here but 2070 performance doesn't seem too bad, for a first attempt. I'm more interested in the cost per performance here, performance per watt.

What you need to consider is the time line. 2070 performance isn't bad, no. But if they were planning to release it mid-late next year, then it is bad. Yes it's a first attempt, but it's headed up by some people very experienced after Intel poached a number of AMD/RTG people, who really should be pushing for better.
