Was just coming to post this. Same price at Overclockers as well. Suppose to be a very good card.

Forgive my lack of knowledge, but I'm guessing that a dual fan version is preferable to this? Only because the components would be spread out more and better ventilated. If there is no noticeable drop in performance or spike in temperature, then I am really tempted by this. Great find anyway, have some heat

Wouldn't you be better with a higher end dual fan 3GB?

My fear about this is throttling.

No, it's way better than a 3gb in my opinion

I have this card highly overclocked. With a slightly more aggressive custom fan curve, max temp usually sits at 74 degrees under 100% load, so no chance of throttling. Only becomes more audible than my case fans at about 90% fan speed which is to be expected.

Hopefully 199 for 6GB on black friday

otherwise I'll get a ps4 pro instead

1060 6gb is a good card however this only has 1 fan. i'd spend the extra on one with decent coolong

Single fan cards aren't always bad.
The EVGA Stock Single fan is noisy, the SC Gaming Single is nice and quiet.

Thoiugh I did avoid the Zotac as the reviews did have it down as noisy.

they are okay if it's a blower type card so all hot air is being expelled out of the case. but not an open air cooling solution

The dual fan versions seem to have loud fans and moderate performance. You could get this version and add an aftermarket cooler for less than an Asus/MSI version and get a better performance.

Oh don't get me wrong if I was in the market for a GPU. I would pay the extra £20 for one with 2+ fans on. However, These mini cards are pretty good it just depends on your case and how far away you sit from it. A friend of mine has a Gigabyte 1060 mini and plays most of his games at 1440p. The single fan is really not that noticable to be fair.

Debatable. I have an MSI gaming X GTX 1060 6GB with the twin frozr VI and it's basically silent even under load plus fans won't even spin up until 60 degrees

That model is over £300 currently, £340 on amazon. From reading around, I'm no expert, the comparably priced dual fan models aren't praised for low noise/temp performance. Reviews I read of the Asus, which was on sale last week, tend to say it wasn't great on noise/temps for a dual fan and to spend more to get the MSI or Asus STRIX.

Obviously spending £80+ more on a better model will will get you better temp and noise, but I didn't see any reviews slating the temp/noise performance of this card, just that it's the cheapest solution. In fact some reviewers say it's surprisingly good for a mini card, i.e. tolerable.

This is all just me rationalising the fact that I bought one despite wanting a dual fan model initially myself

And also void your warranty. Don't think so

That's a good point, EVGA and some other brands accept returns if the cooler's replaced. Zotac don't according to their website, which isn't enforcable in the UK apparantly, but who wants to go through that palava.
