I know it's not much of a deal but this is the cheapest 1070 mini price delivered as far as I can see. Personally I'd recommend a full size 107p but on a budget for a 1070 this is cheapest.

GTX 1070 Mini
8GB GDDR5
1708MHz Boost
1 x Dual-link DVI, 3 x DisplayPort, 1 x HDMI

Expected stock 30th August.

This or the vega 56 - I've got an itx build so the amd edition with one fan and exhaust setup might be ok?

Doesn't add to basket.
Yeah won't add to basket for me either. This was £10 cheaper a few weeks back.
It definitely does not add to cart and it's been like this for a while.

What I love about my AMD cards is that they serve to replace my house's central heating during winter.

You can enjoy the same on NVIDIA cards, you just have to overclock them hard enough.

Vega 56 is pants compared to a 1070. Runs hotter, uses more power, costs more, performs same if not worse...you'd have to be a fool to buy vega over nvidia.

This mini 1070 itx will run hot as well. Vega 56 is close to gtx 1080 in performance and when undervolted consumes more or less the same power. Undervolting takes minutes literally. As always do your research before buying and check the latest benchmarks.

Yeah I just checked benchmarks and it seems overclocked vega 56 at 2ghz is on par with stock vega 64. Which is decent. But my 1070 is running at 2.1ghz which surely puts it in 1080 territory. I'll do a benchmark today and report back with my results. I'll say this though it only runs at 60c even overclocked and I know the vega chips won't get anywhere near that. Nor use the same amount of power.

I'd also guess that the reviewer I'm reading got sent a golden same 56 I doubt all 56s will do that speed?

In performance/watt AMD can barely match the previous gen nvidia cards, let alone the current line. Think they were taken by surprise on how much of an improvement nvidia managed over the 900 series. The 1100 series could well see 1060 performance for under 80w!

I mean in terms of PvP though AMD has been superior to gamers on a budget for many years. It's still a correct statement to say Nvidia are better at the top end though. The GTX 1080 is nearly unrivalled, let alone the 1080Ti.

I'd argue that they were at their best when they were ATI, the 4000 series were designed under ATIs leadership and was the last card made that was more efficient and cheaper than nvidias offerings. That 4670 was a superb card for the money and was far superior to the 8600, the 4850 and 4870 were great value and showed ATI they were back to their best after the poor 2000 and average 3000 series. I had a rage, then a radeon DDR while everyone else went geforce, then a 4670, a 5770. And then value and performance somewhat disappeared. Next gen cards became a rebrand of previous gen cards, mining started and amd lost their edge. Nvidia then released the interesting 750 ti for £100 so went for that - I've never spent more than £100 on a card as that is where the best value used to be, now its nearer £200, so have just bought a cut down 1060 3gb for £179 from Amazon.

AMD tried to be too many things at once, maybe they took too many resources away from ATI in the restructuring. They certainly seem to share the same marketing nowadays, months of synthetic benchmarks showing it battering whatever CPU or GPU was Nvidias/Intel's crown at the time, then getting released 12-24 months time by which time competition had either caught up or surpassed.

I want amd to get back in to their old ways, I love an underdog, but I also like VFM and while ryzen has that in bucket loads, the same can't quite believe said for the £300+ 580 Rx or buggy £500 Vega 64 when it's up against cheaper 1080s.
