Top price. Hot
I would recommend something with a larger heatsink and 3 fans... I have a evga ftw3 and evga sc2 in SLI and the sc2 always runs way hotter than the ftw3 edition.
Never seen A card run so hot... That's in division, and ghost recon wildlands

You can’t change the min fan speed on this one, it’s 45% or more always. Very loud.
Do i throw 625 quid in a gou ir not though thats the question.
Big chip pascal deserves and needs a beefy cooler.

Nope, just nope.

Vega 64 costs about as much as a 1080 Ti at the moment, an performs like a GTX 1080. While I agree $620 for a graphics card is too much, especially this late in its lifetime.

It's a hell of a lot better value than Vega 64. It's not even close.

+1. I also run the SC2, admittedly in a ITX case, but I was very surprised how hot it ran unless I had the fan's at 70%+ (which is insanely loud). I'd be lying if I said the sound didn't bother me a bit so I can't imagine how a card this small could be quiter
Heat for the price.
I bought this one 2 weeks ago for 580 from amazon fr. Its a good one but you need to remove the side of your case to make sure ita got the right temperature.

Don’t say that... this one is much better for gaming and for mining! And it’s even cheaper!
Do you tech gurus think I’d see a considerable improvement over my Nvidia 1080 Founders Edition pls.
i noticed recently that Battlefront 2 struggles a little on ultra settings.
i have an i7 processor and 16Gb of RAM.
i was hoping to get away without having to upgrade everything just yet.
i also have an open chassis case, which would assist with airflow.
thank you all in advance.

No tech guru....just sharing...
I had a 1080 which struggles on division/ghostrecon wildlands and rainbow six siege at ultrawide 3440 on low settings.
Then got 1080ti which have me an easy 50% performance improvement although it felt like more as I was able to get 60 frames finally but more importantly I could crank the setting up to high on most things. But it was silky smooth.
Going SLI helped everything going ultra and silky smooth.
The largest single change was going from 1080 to 1080ti.

Surely a 1080 will do you fine until the new cards come out in a few months, after all it's a lot better than a PS4 pro or an XBoxoneX. Upgrading to a 1080ti now is madness unless you have money to burn or someones willing to pay £500 for a second hand 1080.

Not gonna lie I had two from Amazon France as well, it was posted on hotukdeals. Worked out below £590.
If you buy via Novatech you get Destiny 2 digital download as well. Amazon don't offer this.novatech.co.uk/pro…tml
I have the Zotac GTX 1080 mini and i have to say i have been impressed, cool and quiet, it laughs at games, it laughs at VR games, and is still quiet.

Oh and remember you need to go to the Zotac website, fill in the warrenty section, upload your invoice and you will get a email verifying your registration, then just archive that away in case you need it, and your extended warrenty is set.

Sometimes I sub-estimate the power of HotUKDeals, yesterday there were 11 in stock, now it’s gone, and it’s not even the link from the Op, it’s yours hehehehe

That’s just £30, you can mine that in 2 or 3 days with this card hehhehehe
I had one and it just ran really loud. Not sure if it was a defective card, but I returned it for the EVGA SC black edition and couldn't be happier

This isnt a good card for mining plus the rising costs of mining effectively and competing against large mining pools have made it harder for the hobbyist to profit on mining bitcoin. It’s virtually impossible to mine enough bitcoin to recoup your initial investment in equipment and electricity.

... If you don't know what you're doing.

MPH, winminer, even NH would recover your outlay in months - including electricity costs.

I've already recovered costs of my 1060 bought in september, after all fees and electricity costs. i've minimised my cost overheads, get much more free electricity through solar recently installed - i expect i'll pay off the 1080ti by march. even if it stretches out into summer, i don't mind - my pc is on 24/7 anyway!

Absolutely agree With bitcoin hitting news so much recently it seems that everyone with little or no knowledge of how it works thinks they can turn a profit with their celeron laptops at home!
