I went mad to get one of these a while back after loving my 1080 version... Have a FTW3 now but noticed this was a pretty good price.

No Destiny 2 though in stock in 2 days

Just in case it interests anyone.

I do not need another card to add to my collection... Great price

How much of an upgrade would this be from a 780Ti?

Good price indeed.

a massive upgrade, this kills a 980ti so i dont know how much it beats a 780ti but i can imagine a lot.

Considerable upgrade
gpu.userbenchmark.com/Com…918

Those comparison sites aren't the best (userbench best of a bad bunch) but you get the idea.

Depending on the game you could see huge increases, especially if you were hitting 3GB VRAM limit previously

Went ahead and bought it, was looking at the MSI 1080 that was posted a few days ago but I decided to put down the extra and go for this.

Zotac is behide in the Cooling technology, it has used the current design of heatsink & fans for quite a few generations, a lot competitors has invested in new ways of designing the cooling system other than relying on the traditional massive size/weight of heatsink, and it has been proven it's way more effective than the latter. good price tho.

I would doubt it... Couldn't get the fan to turn on with my 1080 amp extreme.

Not many offer 5 years like zotac

No, not particular. it's rarely see the fans at 100% speed even when the GPU is fully loaded. if noise level is a major concern to you, then avoid Gigabyte Aorus & MSI Armor Series. and if not taking the price into consideration, I would prefer MSI Gaming or Asus Strix or EVGA FTW ICX

That's great. Thank you. I ordered this one.

The 5 years warranty policy has not bought positive effect to its resell value, in fact, the 'must registered within xx days of purchase to extend the warranty period' give negative effect to its resell value. Most of the gamer change their graphics card more often than every 5 years, likely less than 3 years. Zotac's first two years warranty must be via retailer (which is bad because most of the retailers requires being the account holder to claim), and the rest of the years via Zotac directly, because the card have been registered therefore zotac has the original owner's detail on record, along with requiring purchase invoice, SN, date of registration, registration certificate etc, it create massive difficulties for non-original owners to claim the warranty.

And that's one of the reason why Zotac's cards always sold cheaper than some other 3-Years Serial Number based warranty service manufacturer's cards on eBay.

A ridiculous one.
I have the 1080Ti ftw3 and I upgraded from a 980sli.
I noticed a huge bump in performance!
And if you go 4k, this is the card to have!
Amazing price! Hot hit hot!!!

Doesn't make a huge noise but you WILL hear it at full load.
The 1080Ti's run HOT, that being their limit for OC.

I'm searching for a water cooling for GPU. To do that it seems like i need to change the case as well.....

Hi, I think my PSU is fine. My psu is:
EVGA SuperNOVA GS Series 850 W ATX Active PFC 80 PLUS Gold Fully Modular Power Supply Unit

Just wondering about the CPU power and motherboard lanes if will bottleneck.

So I may need upgrade CPU/motherboard to use full potential of this card? Maybe an I7?

Thanks

i5 6600k is still one of the best cpus for gaming, you will experience basically no bottlenecking. 4 cores and high clock speeds have been the standard for gaming cpus for years up until the new coffee lake 6 core i5. The hyperthreading of an i7 won't provide you with any benefit as games aren't optimised to maximise core use. I think the only way you could experience bottlenecking right now is playing at lower resolutions and higher frame rates. If you intend to play at 4k or 1440p you'll be fine.

Not many reviewers have tested it because most of them push the latest and greatest cpus and don't often go back into their archive of cpus. But if you search google it's pretty much a consensus that you won't be bottlenecked.

I disagree, the i5 6600 bottlenecked my old 1070 in games like GTA 5, R6:S and BF1. That's why I changed to i7 last year.

My i5 3570k didn’t bottleneck anything with my 1070 at 1440p, for GTA5, BF1.
6600k is capable.
Don’t know what you’re doing wrong.

No idea but I do know it wasn't just me. BF1 is fine until you get into the big 64 player battles.

Seems the cooling solution on this card isnt up to scratch, especially for the VRMs. Shame as its a great price otherwise and I would have gone for it.

This is a card I wouldn't run on a blower cooler.
These are noisy and unless you are thinking about Watercooling it, overclocking will be short of the cards potencial.
On the stock blower you get stock speeds.

Your power supply is more than enough!
You could run two of these in sli and still have Watts to spare.
The 6600k should be ok up to 1440p where you'd have a slight bottleneck (maybe lose up yo 5%) so still worth it.
If you're going for 4k, a new gen i7 would be advisable.

No comparison. It's like having the amiga compared with a PS4. I would have said Xbox one but the amiga is probably faster.

It's gone up in price, no longer valid

How can I get the Destiny 2 code, am I even able too?
