Voted hot on the specs. Cheers OP.

Could someone tell me if I like this phone enough to buy it please?

Apart from weakish battery, it's a great price/deal!!

That si a very good price for cheap android phone. Oled screen with decent speakers and good unibody build for under £100. Have some heat

Price showing £101.62. Am I doing something wrong?

I have bought ZTE AXON Elite last week from Amazon. It's a lovely phone but still running Android 5. ZTE will never send any updates.

nougat is out for this

Great phones had the normal version about a year back. I'm sure the mini version is just as good. HEAT.

Not really for heavy users but certainly incredible value.
It is a shame the used the power sucking 617 and not the newer 625 chipset.

lol there might be a reason it is under £100

Not really.

People forgive feature flaws if they want it.
It is a half price P2, that being the other £200 budget OLED phone.

It is worth noting that Nougat improves the battery life on this.
Best $300 phone!

Elsewhere, reviews on this phone were very misleading hatchet jobs.

i meant why it has the 617 for under a £100 i just paid £82 for it

Its still at £200 here in the UK so a great BF saving.
The £200, better P2, only got down to £150

Shame about weak soc. 35k Antutu is not impressive.
If they could merry up this and LeEco x626 (87k Antutu but missing some fancy stuff zte has)

I had this phone and the battery was fine for me but i never used that many apps but it did drain quick when i watched youtube videos and had the speakers at full volume but this is understandable. Build quality was v good but i think it looked a bit ugly so bought a honor 8, i would buy this phone again just for the speakers if could pick one up on ebay used for £50 they are amazing.

I bought this phone primarily because it has a reputation of being excellent at audio playback, whether music is played through the speakers or earphones. I haven't tried it out yet myself as I don't have a USB -C cable and there's only 10% battery available (it didn't come with any cables or charger), but once the cable arrives that I ordered this morning I'll be powering up for a play for sure. Fwiw, I'll be using it to play CD standard as well as hi-res audio from a microSD and my NAS over wifi - and remotely when I get round to setting up my new Asus DSL-AC68U router!

Same for me... was also this price when I was looking yesterday and this morning.

That Snapdragon 617 is terribly slow. Best avoid this.

Just purchased at £91.69. Following link gives the higher price but reduces in your basket. I had some gearbest points which brought price down to £87.61. With the Quidco cashback that brings the price down to around £80. Wow.
Thank you londonguy.

Its hard to say. I've bought many items from China and never been required to pay duty. A good rule of thumb is the quicker the shipping the greater the chance of paying duty. DHL forinstance is almost a certainty.

My sister has the Axon Elite - sad to say, yes, ZTE more or less abandoned it re updates, but there's discussion threads on XDA (called the Axon Pro in the US, the same phone apart from a few tweaks) forum.xda-developers.com/zte…xon
and forum.xda-developers.com/zte…217

The Axon 7 and Axon 7 Mini are still getting updates - Nougat is out there and Oreo is rumoured for the 7, not sure about the Mini.

couponsfromchina.com/tag…on/ all is not lost..

Codes turn on/off with Gearbest, so keep trying..

AXON7MINIGB takes it to £99.33
ZTEBLACK takes it to £91.33

Both working at time of posting.
32575009-72ULr.jpgActually, I see shedloads mentioned it, though it was said it was switched off at the time - seems to work now.

Edit: The Axon Mini email link I have is gearbest.com/cel…tFk
londonguy's link does work if you revert back to GBP, so you don't need these codes

Agree, probably the main reason why the battery dies before eod, according to the TechRadar review (but then these guys are reviewers and were probably killing it).
Still for the price, this is shocking value for money - metal unibody, great camera, supposedly incredible sound due to a high end DAC, fingerprint reader etc etc. Less than half the price from the UK retailers, so I have to heat!

My deal at 106 quid a few weeks ago went very hot so this should go absolutely molten. Look, I can appreciate the naysayers about buying from China (I used to be a pretty vocal naysayer on here not that long ago) but this phone is 100 quid cheaper than the cheapest price from a UK-based seller. It's like this. You buy a 90 quid phone with no warranty and the seller offers you a full UK warranty for 100 quid. You're going to say no, aren't you? This is effectively what this deal is offering you...heat added.

How much import tax can I expect to pay on this?
