this deal with either crash and burn or be the hottest of the day, depends on if you have heard of this phone, it is generally getting rave reviews for being as good as it is with this pricepoint....

it is sold out everywhere unless you pay £700 on Ebay, and Silver is even not available in the UK, Amazon Germany has pre order stock which is a minor miracle seeing how the first wave sold out in mins, I wont call it a flag ship killer, I will leave the speculation to others, but needless to say the spec is insane for what you get.

OUR VERDICT
ZTE Axon 7 is less expensive than the best flagship smartphones, yet it looks and performs like a top-tier Android Marshmallow handset, with front-facing speakers, 64GB of storage and only a few sacrifices.

Final verdict

The ZTE Axon 7 is a beautiful phone at any price. It just happens to also be one of the most affordable top-tier mobile phones that we've ever recommended. It has a minimalist design that places emphasis on the contrast rich, 5.5-inch AMOLED screen, flanked by powerful dual front-facing speakers.

With the price of the Galaxy S7 now starting to drop to closer to the 400 mark, I think phones like this face a much bigger challenge to be relevant...
I do like the idea of the cheap Chinese competition, but they all seem to lack what are becoming standard top tier features, like waterproofing.
If this was (is) £400, and you could get an S7 for under £450, would you pick this?

I wouldn't.

This was £359.99 on pre order on Amazon UK from their 'official' store and then it mysteriously disappeared. This has some benefits over the OP3, screen, audio dac, speakers, micro SD but not sure if worth £80.00 more due to less impressive camera and love it hate it design. At £50.00 more I was in but this is just a little bit too much money for what you get compared to the OP3. Still voting hot though as OP is spot on in description but I wouldn't buy in case it comes back to Amazon UK at £359.99.

Voting cold. I actually want this phone but this isn't a deal, it's the ful rrp and this is the only place thus far to order in Europe that I'm aware of. That doesn't make it a good deal though - it's a pre order at full standard price though

Im happy to hold of waiting as I'm not desperate. I was in two minds getting this or the OP3 but the larger screen size and expandable memory sold it for me.

Can you provide a link for the s7 please that's close to £400? Tried myself but nothing lower than £550 at UK retailers.

TBF to me I did not translate the page before I posted as I presumed it was in stock, the mod let me know it was a pre order.....

I agree if Amazon UK bring them back at £359, but as you say that got pulled and I fully expect it to come back at £399... this deal was always for people who really wanted one and not to miss out on second batch as Amazon only charge on despatch so you can cancel the order if Amazon UK get them in

Awfull design IMHO...

I think he means from private sellers who sell them as they get them for a contract renewal

Was also only gold in the UK at the time of the pre order *vomit*

When it finally becomes available in the UK it should be £359 and 450 Euros elsewhere in Europe

Originally it was supposed to be closer to £300 at launch but I guess the change in economic conditions post Brexit screwed that plan. Agree that at this price it's not really a deal and faces to stiff competition from high end models for not much more money.

problem is if you get a issue you after send back to Germany or where ever you got it sent from and postage wont be cheap

It's already been on sale at 420 brand new(link is on HUKD, I'm on my phone, so not looking now...) and on o2 refresh with 12 month warranty (admittedly used, like new) for under 420. Near perfect for (I think ...) 365.

Like I say, the price is coming down.

I didn't actually, but you are right. Brand new handsets as you say, on contract renewal can quite readily be had for around the 400 mark.

I'll do a search but there hasn't been many or for long to consider it a norm yet.

I didn't think it would cost this much more than the oneplus 3. Great phone regardless

I've seen the o2 used s7 for under £420 but nothing brand new came under the search results apart from the brand new o2 refresh for £465. Contract renewals may sell for £400 but I'm looking for a new one which is sim free from a proper retailer and I don't think prices are that low yet.

It's under £400 at O2 now...

Could you post a link to that O2 deal please? Can't seem to find that.

A pretty close one, once Brexit £ drops and VAT are taken into account.

I bet you loved the LG G5 didn't you?

..no,i am happy owner of OnePlus 3

Looks good alternative to Mi 5

After the pixel price, the axon 7 and one plus 3 look great for the price.

Maybe if you need 4gb of ram i got the 3gb ram 64gb storage version of the mi5 in the end for £240

I ordered for €455 (€449 with card charge and delivery) direct from on the Amazon.de on the 2nd. Yesterday, I thought funk this I'll cancel. When I cancelled the price dropped to €423 (€429 with charges). bring it from £410 (metrocard exchange rate)to about £388. So I reordered. Seems strange, anyone else experience anything like this?

The wait continues for it to return to the UK market
