While looking for a cheap 4G phone to use as an AP, I came across this at the O2 PAYG store.

If you click the link and scroll down, you'll see it listed on offer at £29.99 rather than the £49.99 it usually goes for, but Im not sure how to get the £29.99 price at checkout so can someone clarify that? I didn't try to buy one, so it might be deducted after the final couple of payment steps?

Either way, I hope its helpful to somebody?

The battery would put me off because something this basic would most likely only be useful for basic stuff eg calls texts web browsing.
looks like gold is 29.99 and oos

What are O2 like in terms of network and customer service?

The PAYG 20GB and 3000mins for £30 offered with this (if only to use as an AP at home) seems a steal for me?

Ah ****, you might be right! Good catch!

If so, I somewhat dislike O2 for the arguable slight of hand.

Apologies to anyone for the wasted time.

*grumpy now*

EDIT: although surely they can't/shouldn't have the "£20 off" special offer banner right under the £49 pricing, that's bad darts I feel.

Why not just get one of these (when they're on offer)?.....
