I bought from CEX, had to send it back as I actually got better results from my 5G phone hotspot. Like others could get 5G on my phone but not in this device on a three sim.

Might be a limitation there on Three, I hear others had similar experiences. (edited)

It's great, it's slightly faster than my handset occasionally which is interesting (phone is a higher category) so it has fairly nice internal antenna. Does anyone know where to get a spare battery from? I've seen on Aliexpress but they look to be fakes/clones etc with poor english on them.

Cheapest I had found aliexpress etc ...

Most 5G phones only have Wi-Fi 5 / ac and USB 2.0, which then is bottleneck for tethered devices - if you get speeds of over 240 Mbps. If you have an expensive high end phone with USB 3.0 and WiFi 6 / ax, then frequent use as a hotspot will burn out the battery. It is possible to get a used 5G phone with USB 3.0 and ax for £150 or so - IMO that is better as can make calls whereas this can’t (though it may perhaps be possible by side loading apk etc.). A mobile router like this is also designed for handling multiple devices and is probably more power efficient on being a hotspot.

I paid less than £3 for mine after requesting PAC and cancelling

Just requested PAC for mine after 7 days paid £31 and getting £21.73 refund so £ 9.27 for the 5g router

I would if I wasn't still waiting for one
Plus one in Leeds downside would be parking cost but just seen free delivery so little bonus against the cost.

Beginning to suspect they aren't going to honour back orders.. They can't miss the amount of people cancelling and then flogging them.

You can also just control all the settings using web UI at 192.168.0.1. This thing does not have a WiFi repeater/extender mode.

Yep it does run down quicker . But them speeds are great to run my smart TV streaming 4k , my PS4 , iPad ect and I use stupid amounts of Data a month . Definitely over 500GB a month . My i phone 11 pro max is 18 months old and battery still great at 88% capacity , still lightning quick and like new . Definitely earned its price tag !

Not sure ... but as been good for me with speeds ..

I had 4g lte tplink mifii speeds about 30mbs..

This thing gives me 150-185mbs anytime of day can't fault it .. had about 9 hrs out of mine on a charge and charges super fast too I used my 25w samsung charger if that made any difference....

Yeah - that cost me a weekend row with voda who cancelled my order… £150 a bit steep given flooded mkt place on these. Give it 6 months as there are loads more hitting market and they’ll soon be as cheap as 4g ones became £50 not long after diff models surfaced

Did they get them last week or from a previous deal? I keep getting told by Vodafone they are awaiting stock. I'm wondering if they're going to cancel.
