Seems like a great price for the spec from a very well established Chinese smartphone maker.
Never used lightinthebox before so not a recommendation. They accept Paypal.

Please note NO BAND 20 on this phone and looks like it may be stuck on Android 5.1 but what would 58 quid buy you at carphone warehouse??

No idea on this phone, but they've been making them for the telecoms for ages.
EE/Orange Vodophone etc and they just rebrand them.

The infamous ZTE Blade/Orange San Francisco which was the Moto G of it's time for instance way back when.

Indeed, a market cap of circa 106 billion dollars.69,000 employees.

Indeed, the bubble of ignorance we live in in the West is remarkable. We will probably live in that right to the end, until there's no industry of note to speak of.

From Wiki - ZTE Corporation, commonly shortened to ZTE, is a Chinese multinational telecommunications equipment and systems company headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong.

I'm still using my Vodafone ultra 6 whatever it's called and it's fine. That's made by zte this looks similar specs.

The only negative here is the Android version, but many apps are still backwards compatible with older versions, specially ones with high user penetration, eg. WhatsApp is still compatible with Android 2!

ZTE is a top brand and reviews state the phone has very decent build quality.

Picked one in the end. Thanks OP.

Heated.

Sounds like I just found my mum a new phone. Cheers

I had a cheap ZTE a few years ago, blade I think, I was impressed with it and quite gutted when I lost it. If I needed a phone I'd give this a go

Yes, just need to add 110 quid to the price of this phone and all will be good. People, let's be realistic.

Why o why is everything cheaper in Asia. Would love items like these but hate the red tape crap from UK/EU where we cant get hold of these items easily from a EU warehouse who offers simple and fast guaranteed delivery 😭

It's getting the first order in that's the real leap of faith. Was for me, really stressed about it. Now? There's rarely a day goes by that i don't get a delivery from China, be it 45p, 62p, 72p or much more. Pay by paypal if under 100 quid or credit card if over and you will be covered...

Agree. The orange San Francisco and smart ultra 6 (also built by zte) are legendary.

Assuming you haven't been on HUKD long, there were many, many threads about the (ZTE) Orange San Francisco phone, which at the time was a bargain for the specs you were getting, same as the Huawei G300 (which I bought my mum) which also inspired many discussions on here.

I bought mum the ZTE Blade L2 a few years later (was a bit rubbish to be honest, plasticky build and only 4GB internal memory - she actually preferred her Huawei G300!). All those are more budget phones, but ZTE is going a bit more upmarket with some newer models.

Such as the ZTE Axon Elite, (bought for sis from Amazon Warehouse - UK version - for £77-odd) which is a cracker. Sister's husband has a Nubia Z7 Max, which I did a thread on a while ago.

Never did try the Vodafone/ZTE Smart Ultra 6 but "nearly" bought it, for sis, till I spotted the Axon Elite.

Currently waiting on a ZTE Axon 7 from Gearbest/Hong Kong.

I mean have you tried a cheap non branded Korean phone instead of trying to be clever?
