It runs Jelly Bean 4.2. That is the latest official software version available for the L2.

was £39.99 so cold

When was this?

Good spec for the money, don't expect any official updates though.

Would also make a great MP3 / MP4 Player if you want an alternative to an iPod touch. I use similar for running as my phone is too big.

"WAS". this is great price for people who missed out.

854x480 pixels on a 5 inch screen is a bit rubbish mind you.

When was this?

It says just below the images that it was £39.99 now £49.99, saving -£10

Still seems like a good deal though so heat added and thanks op for the find.

Let me borrow your TARDIS, and your comment might be valid. Most of us aren't Time Lords and have to go with whatever the lowest price is at the moment, and this is the lowest price. You have a nice yesterday.

cold me and mcfly are off to get it for £39

My mum has this. It's absolutely fine if you don't plan on putting a lot of apps on...the internal memory is small, so for light users it's more than adequate. She's very happy with hers, used mostly for phone/text/Facebook, the odd listen to Tunein Radio.

Shame it is not the S6 - that would be a roaster.

pretty sure qHD is at 960*540. Plus - qHD = more expensive

This or a nokia 3210?

Have this phone and it's good value for money, but there are three downsides.
1) Poor resolution, even at this price.
2) Horrible viewing Angles, just 15 deg off centre and it already looks badly tinted.
3) The power button is opposite to the volume rocker. When you grip the phone to alter the volume, you end up turning the phone off. When you attempt to turn the phone off, you end up changing the volume. Poor placement, probably why they're churning the last few of them out at a discount.

It's a good introductory phone, but bear in mind the above

How about travelling into the future to get it cheaper? It's called WAITING.

I have a Nokia 3210 already,battery's died tho.:(

Anything else to compete at this price? I've read the Moto E is way off in terms of speed so not that.

Skoda G FTW

The ZTE l3 recently came out (recently recently, even GSM Arena hasn't updated) but its only avaiable on Virgin right now, so maybe the price coming down is the wind up for a wider release for the l3? Great price regardless for a strong budget phone though

The original Moto E isn't that far behind in real world use, the 2nd gen is currently £69.99 on CPW upgrade - but for £50 I don't think you're doing anything better than this. 4gb is a pain though (my Moto E feels the pain daily, even with only 4 or 5 external apps and a small game installed)

Lot of phone for 50 quid

Does anyone know if this is unlocked?
