0% Purchase credit card, does paypal count?

I have searched the web and cannot find an answer,

if for example I sent my partner £500 via paypal with a 0% purchases credit card would it be classed as a purchase and be interest free for the promotional period?

I'm wanting to purchase something which is cash only but I do not have enough cash until the end of the month.

Thanks in advance

I sent myself cash on PayPal to avoid a cash advance charge. Don't see why this wouldn't work
You ll get charged as a cash transaction.
Yes would work as PayPal on your CC will be classed as a purchase

What are you basing this on? I sent my partner some cash via paypal from my credit card in january and neither on my statement or credit report did it say cash advance.

Paypal always seems to be classed as a purchase for me, but i do see allot of people say it will be a cash transaction. I wonder if each bank treats it differently maybe.. Surely all paypal transactions cant be cash transactions or nobody would use them as it would look bad on your credit report.

Thx for the replies
