1 minutes silence today at 11am 6 June as a mark of respect to victims of terror.

Today at 11am the nation invites you all if you can do so, spare 1 minute of your time as a mark of respect to the victims of terror and events of the weekend.

Time even for just a short time to put differences aside and join together United in thought and prayer to the victims, their famines and wishes for a speedy recovery for the survivors.

Thanks for the heads-up. Didn't see this on the news this morning.

You're welcome.

We've had an email sent round and a quick search shows it's a big national event so worth the heads up.

Sadly I missed this, but I'll have my own minutes silence to think about what has happened and the poor victims.

These attackers are not “evil losers”. They are not “sick cowards”. They are not nihilists or psychiatric cases or lone wolves. They are devout and ecstatic Muslim fanatics who are waging a war of religion against us.

Did not seem like the silence was widley observed.
