Surely for that to be the answer the second part would need to be separated like:

10 + (10 x 0) = 10

...or am I still wrong?!

10 due to BODMAS

Ahh. BODMAS. That takes me back...

it's 20

it's 20

its 10 (_;)

If you do the sum as shown it's 10 surely?

Only if you do it as 10+10 =20 x 0 does it then equal 0

10

0 as you didn't put any ()

0 as you didn't put any ()

not necessary apparently

where is the parentheses?

=£32 to be refunded by Currys cos u dont like the sum anymore

No need for partentheses they would only make it easier to read for this sum

I took my calculator to pieces the other night.....it's whats inside that counts.

According to my calculator it's 0

its 10. no need to discuss

0 zero

bodmas is ****does need brackets

doesn't. order of operations

Using BIDMAS (Brackets, Indices, Division, Multiplication, Addition and Subtraction) You must multiply 10*0, and THEN add 10, which leaves you with 10.

DangerGod

i f you follow bodmas, which is bolox as previously stated

Why is it "bolox"?

it's completely unnecessary if you just use brackets.

Not true, brackets should be used to insist of precedence over the accepted order of modern mathematics, rather than be used to confuse matters, create additional notation and make equations less managable. BIDMAS is rigorous mathematics.

It is BIDMAS itself which allows brackets to take precedence, how can you say it is unnecessary if the brackets only work if you assume BIDMAS?

Regardless, modern mathematics states that 10 + 10 * 0 = 10

stop with the gay maths threads

People trying to appear intelligent whilst talking about Maths an 11 year old is taught.

It's funny. I'm laughing.

Depends if you are an account or not.

10 by bodmas - BUT as this is a 'simple' sum (ie with less than two signs) then the answer can be obtained by working through from L to R - so the correct answer is 10, but an accepted answer would also be 0

depending on if it's 10 + (10*0) = or (10+10)*0

The answer is........
