I have bough Delta Force (paintball games) 10 for £60 tickets through IPG from a stall in shopping centre. It is for my son 11th birthday party. Has anyone bough this and did you have any regret?

Only when your 11yr old and his mates spend about a grand of your money on paintballs!!

Depends how many balls are included in the price. Sounds really expensive though.

I think the Delta Force deal includes 100 paint balls. However you'll find that 100 paint balls isn't enough for the entire day so you will probably spend a bit on paint balls on the day. I think that's where they make their money. But I think the kids will have a fun day out.

mine went through 500 for the full day, sorry but the deal you have sounds expensive to what I paid can you return?

I have to pay £10 each per kids for first hundred balls
then £6.99 each for the second hundred balls
then after kids had their lunch they will each have free 100 balls.

so my total bill will come up to about £170 plus the tickets i paid £60. Wish I did my homework before buying

I did have 7 day policy to get this refund but after googling it, so many ppl having problem getting their refund back from London headquarter

Huh? So you didn't actually get any paintballs with your tickets in the first place?
Nearly all of the cost of the trip will be paintballs..... At the very least, keep reminding the children that they only have X number of paintballs. You can easily use 100 within 5 minutes if you get excited You need to make them last or it will get VERY expensive

Found this after did googling

We recently held my 12 year old son's birthday at Delta Force after my wife bought 10 for £60 tickets through IPG from a tout at an air show.

Firstly, there was a whole page of details with the tickets explaining exactly what was involved and what you still had to pay, including buying the first 100 balls at £10. In short - don't take the tout's word for it, read the information in the booklet that comes with the tickets.

So that gets you 200 balls and all-day balling for £16 per person. I honestly don't think that's bad value at all BUT... it depends how many balls you use.

We ended up buying a set of 1000 for £6 per 100, plus 2 more tubes of 100. So we spent about an extra £70 on balls on the day, and we did get some money towards those from some of the parents.

However what I would say to anyone considering paintballing is to ration the balls to anyone who isn't paying for them with their own money!

For example, when you get your initial 100 balls per person, do NOT just let each kid pour the lot into their hoppers. 2 things will happen:

1. Lots of balls end up on the floor, and the staff don't let you pick them up 'because they are exposed to moisture and will break up' or some such nonsense. This is quite annoying when you weren't warned how to fill the hopper without dropping balls.

2. The balls that do end up in the hopper will all get sprayed, mostly without hitting anyone at all, within the first half of the 1st game. Kids especially, and especially those who haven't paintball before, will probably be trying to hit people like crazy, from all sorts of crazy distances, through heavy cover, and without the slightest thought of conserving ammo.

So I would strongly advise the following procedure:

1. A responsible adult rations the balls pre-game. Get the kids to queue up and give them each maybe 30 balls for the first game. Pour them into their hopper for them while they cover the exit hole with their thumb.

2. Give them all a nice clear brief on ammo conservation - make it clear that by conserving ammo their team is more likely to win, because once you are out of ammo you are out of the game. Tell them to wait till they have a good clear shot, and only fire carefully aimed shots.

3. Give the most responsible person playing a tube with some extra ammo, so they can issue perhaps 10 balls to those who run out mid-game. This way the kids get to keep playing even if they do get carried away.

This may sound really restrictive, but believe me it will pay off because they will learn how to conserve ammo, which is a perfectly enjoyable way to play, and your ammo will last. If after the first few games you can relax these rules, then all the better!

Also, by not filling hoppers much you stand much less chance of accidental loss when a hopper falls off or flips open.

Personally I didn't use much ammo at all, maybe the 30-40 per game at the very most. Some games considerably less than that. I still had a great time. Loads of people just fire like crazy from great distances and maybe get a hit 1/30 of the time if they are lucky.

If we had done this from the start, I think we would have had a great time with just 300 balls per person - that would be the £16 we originally paid plus £6 for the extra 100. So £22 per person, which really isn't too bad for an entire day of paintballing, especially if you ask parents to give their kids some money towards the extra balls.

If you stick to the above, you will find the costs are kept down, which keeps the parents happier and thus everyone has a more enjoyable day.

After every scenario, you return to base camp for a brief respite. So if you want to give each person 50 paintballs for the first game, then they can put 50 in their hopper - and you can hold onto the other 50 for the next game.

That is probably the best way to do it. Presumably you won't actually be playing so you can just sit in base camp & look after the extra paintballs ?
