You of all people should be able to think of one!

Ever seen one pointed towards a satellite to show where to look? (OK - dont need it for THAT satellite - but how about a tool kit?) :w00t:

lol good point

I think I used mine about 4 times doing some light refraction experiments through prisms....

Still got em somewhere, about 6 days to come from DX, but as I said very dangerous items....

Even reflecting from a picture / window frame or mirror could cause severe retina damage....

Any small packet I have bought from DX in the last 2 years has never been stopped at customs....

Around 3 months back was the last I bought.... Any big package runs a risk of being stopped tho....

Even the couple of Cell phone Jammers I bought last year got through OK.... Same with a lot of things....
Legal to own but not to switch on or use lol, I buy a lot of Cree torches from them too....
The output of laser pointers is generally limited by ANSI to 1 mW or 5 mW in order to prevent accidental damage to the retina of human eyes. Usually, pen lasers are class 2 or class 3a lasers, which require extended viewing times to damage the retina severely. "The risk to the human eye from transient exposure to light from commercially available class 3A laser pointers having powers of 1, 2, and 5 mW seems negligible." The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has determined that Class 3a lasers could cause injury to the eye if viewed directly for approximately 0.25 seconds, although it has cited evidence that exposure to visible lasers is "usually" limited by the blink reflex of the eye, which they have timed at just under 0.25 seconds.

So just watch what you are doing if you buy one....
