Sharp is even better than Sony.. And you can get this model for 630quid at Currys using the discount code (YAW850)..

From Sky site -

Sky 's HDTV broadcasting system and HDTV receiver will support two HDTV formats:
- 720 / P / 50 (Progressively Scanned picture)
- 1080 / I / 25 (Interlaced picture)

Broadcasters planning on launching HD services on the digital satellite platform will be able to choose whether to broadcast content in 720 / P / 50 or 1080 / I / 25.

So remember that your 1080I is not true HD and it may not be the best time to buy one until Sky / terrestrial broadcasters start making and broadcasting to the level that the 1080I can reproduce. By that time, the prices will have dropped.

To see the benifit of 1080p you really get one 40" upwards

Laser tvs are coming out in christmas...
