11 hours to brew a cup of tea

All Mark Rittman wanted was a cup of tea. Little did he know he would have to spend 11 hours waiting for his new hi-tech kettle to boil the water.
Rittman, a data specialist who lives in Hove, England, set about trying to make a cup of tea around 9am. But thanks to his Wi-Fi enabled kettle it wasn’t long before he ran into trouble ...

I'm all for an easy life, if you have a lot of hot drinks, buy a tea urn, if you're loaded hire a butler, buts what's the advantage of a WiFi kettle, you still have to do everything else manually apart from press 1 button.

There's literally no advantage, unless the thing will fill itself with fresh water, pour itself over a teabag in an appropriate vessel and then alert you once brewing is complete.

Sounds useless but I still find myself wanting one.

heard about this on Capital radio yesterday morning X)
