    144hz Monitor recommendation 24"

    Hello,
Would anyone be able to recommend a 24" 144hz monitor that they have/used.

I have a 1070 ASUS Strix gfx card

Is it worth going extra for G-Sync?

    Big CS:GO and Overwatch player!

    Thanks

I just got the Acer Predator GN246HL From Curry for £200.

Good picture, nice build, although the adjustment buttons are fiddly because they are hidden.

I use it with my PS4 - picture is smooth as silk on GTA.

I'd hate to be the bearer of bad news but the PS4 only displays in 60hz. I have this monitor and use it for CS, Overwatch, H1 etc... and it is excellent. My only gripe would be the stand isn't very adjustable.

I've been using the Benq XL2430T for a few years now, and for FPS games it's excellent! Super smooth 144hz on Overwatch and Titanfall 2 with my GTX 1070.

The problem with a lot of 144hz TN monitors are the picture quality and gamma. Did quite a lot of research before I bought mine.

I bought a Viewsonic Xg2401. It doesn't suffer from the gamma problems many other main brands like the BenQ and Acer 144hz and has good picture quality for a TN screen.

Variable refresh rate is a great technology as it helps improve smoothness without impacting performance, but it gets less effective as the frame rate gets higher.

However, I believe G-sync monitors also include backlight strobing (ULMB) as standard which is something you want when you're trying to minimise ghosting.

Do you have an AMD card for the free sync?

I was looking at Acer Predator XB241H 24" FHD 144Hz G-Sync Monitor but it is quite a bit more than the ones without G-Sync. (£359.98 on Ebuyer at the moment)

No I don't unfortunately as I have a 1060. I didn't really care much about Gsync. It supposed to be good but not another £100 good imo.

Doesn't really matter tbh as I'm still seeing smooth game play nonetheless.
