But my car was only £70 lol

why a 250,take it you done your dsa m1,you can get some 500 sports bikes under 33bp
my mate use to have a tuned rs 125 that kept up with the 250's
yeer about right for 150 for the service

    yea £150 sounds right.

    But ZZR 250? Really?

I hate the look of those, especially the back wheel, it looks silly.

    Especially the CBR125. Ew.

Yeah restricted to 33bp for 2 years and no way will an RS125 keep up with my zzr. Might hold off for abit then, 150 seems ridiculous!

Haha what are you talking about? The zzr250 looks sexy!

To take plastic bits off takes time, that all has to be paid for somehow.
You are lucky, I have a BMW C1 and if I took it to BMW Motorrad, I would be out of pocket by 500-600 quid, most of it to take the plastic off.

Are you getting the Oil and Filter serviced aswell?
what condition is the bike in?
does the plugs need changing? does the fluid need changing?
what mile service are you looking at? 2000 mile 4000 mile 8000 mile etc? is it just a check levels service/inspection?
Could do most of the service yourself as its a piece of pis$

A full service he said, the guy hasn't seen the bike, was quoted over the phone. No idea if its ever been serviced as i got no SH with it however its done 41,000 miles so it must of had some attention to say its still here. The year is 1992.

have you had a look at it and seen what needs doing, i.e tighten bolts, check chain, fluids, filter etc

Its hard to say how much its going to cost without knowing what needs doing, as certain things takes time, and longer it takes , more money it costs lol.

shouldnt be looking at anything over £150 though, id say around £60 - £120 depending on what condition the bike is in

it had a big barrel kit and lots of aftermarket parts, could sit at 90
anyway i wouldnt of botherd getting a restricted license for a 250,should have got a nexus 500 what im getting exactly( 33bph unrestricted) ,half sports bike/half scootet
trust me older bikes are nothing but trouble, sooner or later you'll get your hands dirty...

I've had my zzr sit at 100 on the motorway already, theres alot of RS125's on the road and they're only good if you have a CBT. Yeahh I'm thinking this bike will have its problems, the fairing is already rattling off it! But it was cheap and can't afford an expensive bike at the moment.

A lot of bike shops tend to be £40 an hour upwards labour costs..... even then its cheap.

Look online for a service manual, that would explain how to do most things, its a great skill to learn to keep your bike/car on the road with basics....

I have a race quad and aim to do all the work myself, saves money and also keeps me entertained for a few hours! Especially as you have to change oils every 6-10 hours on it with a new filter every other change....
