£1,708.12 for a Dell XPSTM M1730 good deal?

Just bought this notebook from Dell, just wondering if peeps think it's a good deal or not?
I upgraded to Windows Vista® Ultimate (32Bit) and upgraded to a 2.40GHz,800MHz 4MB L2 cache processor and opted for 4GB of Ram, used the discount code DB172ST8BZT4SQ to get 10% off saving me £183, also Dell gave me another £150 Off (On Selected Inspiron Models), total came to £1,981.24 exc VAT, I got it for £1,708.12 incl VAT & delivery.

Not the right forum for this although I'm sure a mod will move it for you,

Looks a good deal but to be honest with the current delays in shipping the XPS M1730 and the recently announced 8800M graphics card I don't think it's a great buy at the moment.

    John

Wot John said. And you can upgrade the RAM yourself, no-doubt saving several hundred pounds, due to Dell's upgrade options being obscenely overpriced. And phone up and haggle for the best deal. Hang up and repeat until you get several hundred more knocked off.

So best to cancel this then?
Do I have to phone Dell or can I cancel via the web?
    Cheers guys!

You should be able to cancel via the web. Having never made a Dell order, I can't tell you how, but poke around. Failing that, phone Customer Care armed with your Order Number and get them to sort it for you.

Phoned Dell, asked to cancel my order as it was too expensive, no haggling just an ok thank you sir it will be cancelled in a few minutes.
So I guess they dont always haggle for your business, I'm a bit gutted cause I did really fancy this notebook, wasnt too bothered about it not having the new 8800m graphics!
    Oh well thats life......
