19" Widescreen LCD with AV inputs

Currently have the Acer AL1751W 17". It is 1280x768, has DVI, VGA, S-Video, Composite inputs.

Looking for something with the same specs but in a 19". Ideally 1440x900, VGA & Scart (no need for a TV tuner)

Prices are on the up....haven't seen a monitor with a scart...this is the cheapest but probably does not meet your specs.cclonline.com/pro…d=0

I realise Monitors with AV inputs are few and far between, so am interested in anything available.

No AV inputs on that one.

Hessian...may I suggest you go into a computer store and ask if there are any monitors with AV inputs...they can give you details of the brands/model numbers/prices...it's then a case of using web price search engines such as Kelkoo to see where they are cheapest...you can also google the model no as that often comes up with links of the prices.

This one might have AV inputs.

Thanks for the input but in my experience retail staff are not the most well informed on their products :giggle:

Thanks Kommunist. It has composite RCA inputs which is better than nothing, just a pity it does not have s-video, component or scart to feed a decent freeview/sky output.

PC World also selling 4:3 (standard screen) 19" LG 1917A monitor, which got RCA and SCART (and internal tuner). I own one and it is excellent piece of kit.

The Samsung 940MW appears to cover all the bases...

DVI, VGA, SCART, Component & RF

Now about finding the best price

Thanks currychops. Just been and bought one. The spec not quite as good as the CiBox one quoted futher up the thread but with the DVI input should give it more compatability options.

COmbined with ]this DVD player (with DVI & VGA outputs), I should have a decent system for watching films without needing to fork out a TV licence.

    Reputation given. Thanks.
