havent they got a wedding list with argos or debs??

In my opinion as becoming a bride to be, and the majority of my friends whom have got married, money is more appreciated than a present. Ive actually made little poem/cards to basically ask for money rather than a present due to already having our own home and most things we need. My auntie got married in september and got majority of money, and the presents she did get i.e. champagne flutes, albums, snowglobes, frames etc etc are stored in attic, not that she didnt appreciate them, but people spend hell of a lot of money on presents that dont get used, whereas money could dgo towards something they really need. Mwah...x

One idea would be to buy them an experience

For example, for our wedding, we allowed people to buy experiences that we could enjoy during our honeymoon in French Polynesia eg candlelit dinner for 2 on beach, excursion etc

You could maybe buy them an experience that they can enjoy together eg wine tasting, cooking course etc

i think money would be best as people allways end up with 2 or 3 of the same things and dont end up useing them.

i agree aswell, better off giving them the money they will beable to buy what they want with it or even a voucher.

I agree that people like to get money but not everyone likes to give money as a present. We got married last year and as we already had a house together didn't really need anything. We asked for B&Q vouchers as we had planned to replace the bathroom but said we really weren't bothered about presents. We got one or two bits and pieces from guests who wanted to buy something and of course Focus vouchers from the inlaws just to be awkward.

It is probably best to ask if they have a preference first, if you know the sort of stuff they are into you could maybe guess their taste in photo frames/albums etc or just stick the money in the card if all else fails.

u coud try NEXT HOME shop? they have nice things??

Last year I went to a friends wedding and during the ceremony took loads of digital photos (I followed the photographer about) then popped off to tesco on the way to the reception meal and printed the photos and bought a nice photo album. We took about 50 prints, and this cost around £20 to print, £10 for the album, and we gave them the photo album to take away on their honeymoon.

They were so chuffed that they could take the memory of the wedding away with them, being able to show other couples their wedding album. And they also loved that they could hand the album around at the evening do.
