30day Sim-Only Deal for iPhone 4

Found 17th Jun 2010
Hi everyone,

Bought an iPhone 4 direct from Apple and now I'm looking for a micro-sim for it. The iPhone comes without a contract and is unlocked to any network. I know it's possible to trim down a full size sim card to fit in the new iPhone, but I'd rather get a propper one.

Has anyone seen any listed yet? I'd like an Orange one ideally, as it has the largest 3G network. I'd prefer one of these rolling 30 day deals.

Thanks in advance for your help =)

O2 will do you simplicity on a micro however when I spoke to orange and asked about getting a micro for myself as an existing monthly customer they said only if i bought an iphone 4 through them

Think three do one for £7.50 for a one month rolling contract.. not sure if its unlimited or capped to 1gb but your probably better of getting a normal three payg sim and add the 1 month internet add on for £5

Ive found the orange 3g signal is very poor in my area but always get a 3g with three

If I can't get a micro-sim, I'll probably just guy a regular one and trim it down.

well they are selling the iphone 4 so i guess they will do a micro sim or just cut it down its not to hard. i have seen somewhere something like a hole punch machine you put your old sim in a dn it punches it out to make the micro sim. i will see if i can find a link.

Believe it or not, theirs nobody selling sim-only micro-sim plans.
I think I'll just cut a regular orange sim down with a craft knife.

I've seen the cookie cutter sim thing you've mentioned on eBay.

I can't see anything on their website, nor have I seen any press releases. I'll just pick up an Orange sim for iPhone 3G on a 30 day rolling contract and trim it down to micro-sim size. Theirs plenty of tutorials online. I'm just disappointed the service providers are making it so hard for those of us who purchased directly from Apple.

O2 have added their 12months and 30day simplicity plans to their tariff table you linked earlier gunton.
They must have been added within the last hour: shop.o2.co.uk/new…tml

I'm still going to go with Orange though, as they have the largest 3G coverage in the UK.

Remember, if you get it on PAYG it's still network locked to whoever you bought it from.
Thats why I bought mine direct from Apple - unlocked to all networks.

No Jeremy, thats only for the iPad.
This is not for the iPhone 4. It has no voice or text allowance, just data.
