32" LCD TV and Help with TV Aerial!

    Hi guys!

I have just moved house, firstly I am after a 32" lcd for around 350? Any recommendations?

Secondly, i seem to be having trouble with getting a signal on my old tv? We have tried a portable aerial and the wall aerial but nothing. We have tried through a freeview box and also the back of the tv. I have no idea what it could be? any ideas?

If you havn't checked, look in the loft to see that the aerial IS connected, had to do this twice now, stupid dumb builder, also had probs with a conector up there too, if not maybe a signal booster and freeview aerial like I had to

Check the obvious first, make sure there is an external aerial fitted on your house and look to see what direction your neighbours aerials are pointing.

If you've moved into a new area the chances are that you'll have to re-tune the television to the new frequencies. Just plugging in an aerial lead doesn't necessarily mean that you're going to get a picture.

Hi, i thought about the issue with new area tuning, I have reset the freeview box but it doesnt seem to pick up any channels using either a portable or wall aerial.

I do need to check the roof aerial though.

Are you sure you're in a Freeview area? Check your postcode here ]http//ww….uk

If you need to install a new aerial and retune the tv, then make sure that the aerial is at least pointing somewhere in the right direction before you try retuning. As I said earlier, check the direction of your neighbours antennas.

Or if you could push yourself just a little bit more, Panasonic are a really good, reliable manufacturer

Plus you get free delivery with this.

Can get cheaper ie. Bush, Goodmans, Accoustic Solutions, Matsui etc.

You need to look at the contrast ratio, the higher the better. ie. 1000:1 isn't fantastic. Some are 20,000:1. This means that the blacks are blacker on the screen. The lower the ratio then the blacks look grey and washed out.

    Good luck!
