my 3 yr old wouldnt keep glasses on and the film looks blurry without, tbh the 3d isnt great not worth paying for so i would go to the normal 2d version and save your pennies

My son and niece at the time when I last took them to a 3D showing were 4 and 5 respectively and the glasses wouldn't even fit. Needless to say they didn't keep them on and had to watch an out of focus film for 90 minutes.

The glasses then came in a one size fits all, because kids heads are similar in size to adults right?!!? Anyway I think I read RealD were releasing kids glasses in time for Toy Story 3 so it may have changed.

ok, thanks for your help (_;)

no my kids hads to wear the big glasses too
the only one who wore them throughout was my 7 yr old my 5 yr old and 3yr old just kept taking them off said they hurt their ears

    how old is your son?

3D toy story is over rated - great film but wearing them uncomfy glasses for the duration is really not worth it. Go for 2D you wont be disappointed.

4 today. Just fancied trying 3D as never tried it yet but just thought he would no doubt take them off

the best 3d effects were the adverts before the film started

its crazy isnt it? so many kids 3d films and no kid size glasses-also,still no clip on,or wrap over ones for spectacle wearers either.

if 3d is the "future of cinema",they should get their act together!

4 year olds are fidgety enough as it is at the cinema (generally, mine has always been good) without putting glasses on them too. It ruined the film for me when I took my glasses off to see what they were seeing and I felt so bad for them.

One of many reasons I hate 3D.

Couldn't agree more. It really excludes a significant proportion of the population from enjoying the experience fully or at all.

It's particularly annoying as your first visit to the cinema as a child is usually one you remember for ever, I remember going to see ET as a 3 year old and other people have similar experiences. The problem will be when the latest kids release is 3D only at any cinema near you so potentially that first visit is ruined.

yep-if they brought out decent kids glasses and clip ons for spectacle wearers like me,I would happily pay 5/6 quid for em and just keep them for future visits.

Cineworld are trialing clip ons at the moment so hopefully they'll be more widespread soon.

I believe ET was the first film I saw at the cinema. Seeing his body lying in the ravine haunted me for years. I even had to sleep on the top bunk to stay out of reach of his extending neck. We were supposed to see Pinocchio but the screen was full.

I still get quite tearful watching Short Circuit 2. He got so brutally attacked that the emotions have stuck with me to this day. Wish I still had the poster I was given in the foyer
