    3D printer

thinking of getting a 3D printer, I've seen in the pass month prices seem to have dropped, you can get a 3D printer diy kit for well under £200, Are these kits any good and which would be the best to go for, looking hust to print models and bits of stuff

They are good or simple projects but obviously the more complicated the job then the more expensive the 3D printer

My Daughter bought me one (in kit form) for Xmas. Quite a complex build, taking a couple of days, but worked first time upon completion. Using it is a steep learning curve (I'm knee deep in broken plastic nik naks) but it's great fun. Recommend you look on 'thingiverse' for printable objects if you haven't already seen it.

was doing some looking around more and came across the Startt from iMaker it comes in at just under £120, woukd this be a good start or just a kit for kits to learn? and not really a good printer

The most affordable 3D printer kit on this list is the Startt from iMaker, which has an astounding price tag of $99 dollars. It’s a Prusa i3 clone that’s expressly pitched as a educational product to appeal to parents and teachers, and the print quality is best described in terms of “good” and “adequate”. Perhaps not the most advanced or sophisticated DIY 3D printer kit available on the market, but it’s intriguing how far the price of a basic machine has fallen whilst still being able to perform key functionality.

have a budget of £200 max, was also loking at the Anet A8 but with all the searching there is no real top for quailty or good print they all seem very rouf and not good, It looks like you have to spend big money for a good one and the diy one's a lot of people online say that you have to make changes and print parts to fix the flaws in the cheap parts
