    3DTV

    I am looking for a 3DTV.

    LCD or PLASMA or LED

    Any advice/recommedations

My advice would be to wait... as with any new technology, the price drop and quality improvement / bug adjustments will be pretty quick

Wait, this is an area that will evolve massively in the next 12 months. TV's that now are £1500 will be surpassed with models that are better and cheaper.

    It's either 3D, or it isn't, lol.

Guys ...technology isn't going to Improve, it is the same technology from like 12 years ago (prob longer) when I had active 3d glasses for my pc.

The only advancement would be auto stereo - glasses free, and that will be a long wait, at least for a communal tv

I agree it wont imrove but it will get significantly cheaper and the content will be in abundance

I would wait - at least until all the hype is over. To be honest I cant really see it catching on especially because you have to buy special dvds and pay extra for 3D channels... give it some time.. The quality of LCD is so good now!!!

Problem is by the time you have waited for the hype to die down the next thing is on the horizon and everyone says wait for the next big thing then. If you can afford it then go for it on the understanding that £1k spent this month will probably be worth less than £500 in 6 months time.

It will be interesting to see if there's a 'race to the bottom' (well for the technology, not in comparision to HDTV's) before 20% VAT comes in, for example 3D TV's hitting £700-800 in the short sales period before the retailers increase them to £1000 and blame VAT as the culprit.

I really can't see3D tvs taking off - who wants to sit watching tv with those glasses on.
I would wait and see what happens and wait for prices to drop.
BBC click said 3D production is very costly having to double up on everyuthing to make shows ie stasff and equipment.
The take up will be slow and gradual and might put off broadcasters.
They were even trialing super high definition TV so that may be the future!!!

Who knows - but we have had 3D for ages and it has never taken off just the technology has got better.

I would prefere 3D without the glasses.

Can you imagine, come on boys come round watch the footy together
Here you go, put these on
