50th Birthday games

Hi all,

We are planning a surprise 50th birthday party for my mum. We were thinking of what games (sensible off course :)) that we could arrange. We were thinking of games such as pass the parcel etc.

Does anyone have any ideas on what kind of games we could arrange?

Also for pass the parcel what presents could we use, considering there will be ages from 12-60. So we are trying to cater wide age range!

Rep left for any help or advice!

Thanks

Abs

Eat, Suck & Blow!

Get some dry food i.e Weetabix, Rusks, Digestives...this is the EAT
Get some cartons of drink with straws...this is the SUCK
Get some ballons!...this is the BLOW

Lay all items on a table in front of everyone (Probably best with 3 people)...play some music...you need to shout out instructions to them whenever you please....

Say EAT and they have to start eating the biscuit, shout BLOW and they put the food down and start blowing up the ballon...shout SUCK and they keep hold of the ballon blown up between their fingers and start to drink through the straw then shout EAT, they put drink down while holding the ballon and they eat and carry on...you get the idea! Just keep alternating, while keeping them stocked up!

The winner is the first person to finish everything and pop their balloon at the end.

Great fun!

We always end up in fits of laughter playing 'The Ring Game' (inventive I Know) where everyone sits on chairs in a circle & holds on to a large looped piece of string with a ring tied onto it. One person stands in the middle and tries to find the ring and catch a person out with it. Once the person is caught they are the one to go into the middle.
Everyone tries to fake out the person in the middle by pretending they have the ring & are trying to pass the ring onto the next door person.
We play this every christmas sinve 1993 with kids from 8 to grandparents of 80+!

Have a fab time

how about a pinata?

Spitfire!

You need 3 or 4 different size glasses...

Shot glass, small glass, medium glass and perhaps a pint glass. If you have more types of sizes, even better!
Get loads of volunteers wishing to take part and they all need a £1 coin.
Get them to stick this up the crack of their bum (while still fully dressed!) and they need to go over to the glass and drop the £1 coin inside it. Imagine them waddling with their arms sticking out as tho they are an aeroplane!
If unsuccessful, they are out! (You can perhaps donate the money to charity or something!)
Start with the biggest glass, then work your way down after each person has had a try!

Again, a great game to play in groups! (Especially when alochol is involved!) :-D

Can't think of the name but the one where you write down famous names for each other and stick them on their foreheads, that's always good. How about any games she played when she was a child? That could be a nice touch.

Excellent!!!
