Hiya, just a quickie really. I've got an old laptop running a 512mb pc2700 2.5cl, would like more ram... I could go for the 1gb:
** Corsair Laptop Memory (RAM) - SODIMM DDR 333Mhz (PC2700) CL2.5 - 1GB

this will imbalance the original 512 but has more ram, or:

** Dane-Elec Premium Laptop Memory - SODIMM DDR 333Mhz (PC-2700) - 512MB

Ones £30 ones £16... Im tempted for the £16 tbh since the laptop is about 4yrs old now...

Any other offers around will be great! Thanks for reading!

Ok so Ebuyer has some better deals currently so prob go with them, as for 512/1gb... help...?

if it can take a gig stick to take it up to 1.5 then do it. more ram is better than the tiny performance boost you might get from dual channel

If you don't mind waiting for the memory to arrive, ]buy one of these.

I have one of them, along with an old 256MB module, in my old Thinkpad X31 (about 5 years old).
