6 year old with loose tooth after opening a fruit shoot type bottle
tried finding some info else where, but not much info so far.
basically my 6 year old decided to try and open the bottle on her on next thing we know she come running in blood around her front two teeth and the teeth are a bit wobbly now. once calm she is fine and they just hurt a bit and bleeding has stopped.
they are still the milk teeth, and i recall if she does not play with them and avoids biting and chewing with them they should heal and become secure in the next couple of days.
does anyone have any advice on this. don't fancy the out of hours dental charge or hanging around the local waiting room for 6 hours like the last time i was there just to be told the same
obviously if she was still in pain or tooth was hanging out then that were we would be now.

Kids lose teeth. And bleed when they do.
Im also pretty certain fruit shoots specifically advise you not to open them with your teeth.
really? never knew that.
and its a co-op bottle with no advice on it.
after some more searching it still seem the general information for a just wobbly tooth is to cool to avoid swelling, do not wiggle it and allow to firm up. all of which are being done. if it does not firm up within a couple of days then it will need to be x rayed.
i know in the past people who have had teeth knocked out in rugby (the game not the place) and re inserted, allowed to heal and fine from then. but that was adult (teeth thanks again for clearing that up for me dimebars).
If you are worried that this might affect her adult teeth, it shouldn't, my son's are fine.
we will call out dentist tomorrow and see their suggestion. we have just come back from holiday so she is very tired anyway.
thanks for the help
I took him to A&E as i was worried bone was still left in the hole, and that the gum wouldn't seal, they were good with me, but naff all they could do tbh. Didn't even X-ray him, so i don't think they would X-ray wobbly teeth.
My kids are terrors for opening water bottles with their teeth!
Unless there is severe pain I wouldnt worry. Just have something handy from the tooth fairy.
I do recall something dime bar said about loosing teeth...
Don't worry about it. These things happen.
Its sort of a fact that if a tooth falls out you will have a gap. Its part of a kid growing up. I have a photo somewhere of my little brother who had most of his front teeth missing at the same time. Milk teeth had fallen out and others were still coming through.
Fetch string
Tie to tooth
Tie to door
Slam door shut
Catch tooth
Tooth Fairy brings £££££
A child loses their front teeth at about 6 years old. A dentist will not do anything for a 6 year old with loose front teeth...
As for them strengthening up, no way.
Don't waste anyone's time by going to A&E or to the emergency dentist either, Tinkerbell has hit the nail right on the head so far...
Not sure whether giving advice in a thread like this with the name Teeth_Extractor is a good idea

But seriously what is wrong with people, don't people know how to live life anymore and look after themselves. Some people post some silly threads on here, i remember someone else posted, i found a kitten what should i do?, USE YOUR BRAIN!, Do you really need to come on a shopping forum of all forums and ask for advice?, like really?!, Keep it, call the RSPCA or take it your local pet shop, It is not rocket science.
Your 6 year olds tooth fell out, if its hurting take her to the A+E, if she is okay, smiling, no pain, leave it for a day and check on it tomorrow. Be a responsible parent. I am no parent but I hope to god i would not need to ask advice on a shopping forum if anything happened to my child. Use common sense!
He then went and told me to get some cotton - hmmm, ok.
Next up he cut a long length of cotton, I wondered what was about to happen but had faith and trust in my father - mistake number two.
He then put some loops of cotton around my tooth and knotted it tight, then attached the other end of the cotton to the door knob.
Yes, you guessed it, he then slammed the door, my tooth flying out of my poor little mouth with the force of it.
Much blood and many tears ensued.
Mum came into the room when she heard me crying and just put her hands to her face, looked at my father and her eyes just said 'wtf have you just done to my daughter??!!'.
OP, do not do above ^^
So you will waste a dentist's emergency Sunday appointment when clearly all that has happened is a slight acceleration of a natural process. Some people.
Emergency dentist???? A+E??????? i expect you go to the doctors with a cold too???? imbecile
