I've had an ASUS ROG 17" laptop for about 3 years now... never crashed once and will run Crysis on Max.
Weighs a ton, but whisper quiet and unbelievably reliable. Would definitely recommend an ASUS.

Previously owned an Alienware M17 - Nothing but trouble with it from day one.

If you can buy in the US it's worth it, usually the price is the same in dollars as it is in pounds.

I’d put the money into a desktop as you’ll end up with a bad neck and shoulders following extended play but hey it’s your call.
