900 or 5.4Mhz phone - can anyone help?

I've been having a bit of a nightmare at home lately as my BT Studio 1100 cordless phone is knocking out my wireless internet.
They phone and modem/router are in different rooms, but everytime soneone rings the landline, the internet goes down and takes hours 9sometimes days) to come back.

I've tried chanign the channel on the router, but this makes no difference, and obviously I've checked and replaced all my filters.

All that's left, by the looks of it, is to get a new phone which oeprates on 900mhz or 5.4 mhz (apparently), but it's practically impossible to find one.
This info is not freely available on boxes and google isn't helping much either.

Any help wopuld be apprciated. Cheers!

    I was wrong :-(

I noticed my Internet was going funny whens someone rang, then remembered id moved the router and didnt have the phone plugged in through a micro filter?have you got yours plugged in through one?

have a look at the router status page and phone the house from cell phone, a faulty phone can cause havoc on you line but to make sure its not the wifi signal see if the actual dsl sync is dropped when it happens

Interesting... I'll try that tonight, thanks.

So you're saying it could be a faulty phone?

The majority of wireles routers operate on 2.4 GHz, as does … The majority of wireles routers operate on 2.4 GHz, as does Bluetooth.Only the newer 802.11a or 802.11n routers can operate in the 5 GHz band.(the BT Studio 1100 you mention is based on DECT which shouldn't even come close to the wireless frequencies.)

I thought this too. And it only started happeneing a cou[ple of months back, after a few months trouble free use.
The 'outage' is getting worse now as well. It used to send the intenet down for a about an hour... now it can be anything up to 24 hours.
