A bit of help with XBOX 360 plse

    Hi guys,
I'm in the forces (RAF) and am coming back to the UK on Nov 11th for 2 weeks.
I'm looking to get an XBOX360 for the family but haven't a clue what to get. I own a HD TV (42") so would preferably want one with a HDMI slot.

My question is, What is the difference between the versions Premium, Pro, Elite etc???
    AND
What is the best deal available at the mo, that will still be on as of next Monday???? I am looking to get HALO 3 and/or COD4 aswell

    Cheers All :w00t:

Hi I'd also be pretty interested in any answers to this. My partner wants one for crimbo but I have no idea where to start and don't wanna seem too keen and start asking him loadsa questions or it will spoil the surprise! :whistling:

I have thought about the Core one, which is just the basic model I think  , but apparently they don't do that anymore so I need to go off and do a little more research!

If I come up with anything I'll let you know, and I'll keep an eye on this thread for inspiration

With the shopto.net deal suspended at the moment. Here is one option:

    gamestation.co.uk/dis…290

    Xbox 360 Premium (20gb HDD,2 x Wireless controllers & Forza Motorsport 2).

    £249.99 (less 2% Quidco) = £244.99

Could always sell/trade the Forza if you didn't want it ?

Regarding Halo 3/Call Of Duty 4.Call Of Duty 4 is a much, much better game IMO.If you like shooting games.Shopto.net have the great Gears Of War for £19.99 (less 4% Quidco) = £19.19.I much prefferred that to Halo 3 as well.Link here if you're interested:

    Hope this helps.:)

COD 4 Will be the best bet for you, I played the BETA extensively , and trust me , that small beta was alot better than all of halo 3, dont fall for they hype of HALO , I did, Big mistake.

Which ever one you get really consider the extended warranty, 360's are great but prone to going tits-up, the Microsoft warranty is £60, I would buy from Argos who do a 3 year warranty for only £30

Not sure what you're on about M8.All 360's have 3 year warranty with Microsoft now.:?

The warranty only covers the 3 red lights failure.. if anything else goes wrong then you're not covered after the first year.

If you pay the extra for the elite you can get some money back by selling the un-needed bits eg you can order a free transfer kit and you get a free connector for optical out sound. Both of these can be sold on Ebay for maybe £20-£40
