A decent motherboard for i5-9600k :)

I got an intel i5-9600k to replace my i5-4670k but now I need a decent motherboard at a good price. I bought a z390p from AWD for about £80 via HUKD couple of months ago. But cant find any decent offers now. Most motherboards on ebay go for same as retail price which is kind of crazy.
Can anyone recomend a decent motherboard? It will be going in the thermaltake level 10 GT. With 1 GTX 1080, 2 x 4TB HDD, 1 x 1TB SSD, corsair CX850.

Only if you want to overclock the cpu. Not everyone does. However, better to spend the extra £20 and have the option.

Oh man. The motherboards make it so easy to overclock these days. They have normal, fast and extreme. I accidentally put on extreme and machine shut down. Luckily I didn't kill my nephews new build on 9700k. Think I messed up the PSU but corsair were nice enough to replace that one.

Theres a like new for £59 from amazon warehouse
I would recommend a Gigabyte Z390 UD - amazon.co.uk/Gig…C4/ £110 or if you can afford a bit more bump it up to the Gaming X for £130.

Has great VRMs so you should have no issues running a 9900k all out.

What's important to you in a motherboard?

Yeah that is also a good board, just avoid the cheap Asus and Asrock Z390 boards as they don't get high praise.

Should have no issues getting the max out of your 9600k, hopefully 5 GHz with the correct cooler.

lots of USB ports are important, 4 ram slots, would like USB C to be future proof , I have the K but not too bothered about overclocking & stressing it as that would stress the PSU. I have like 3 PCs at the moment, 2 main laptops and a Macbook so not in a rush. I want to grab a bargain. you know, a nice gaming one thats normally £150+ and they're selling it for £90 . If I didnt get it cheap then I wouldn't enjoy it as much.

Have you seen any new offers for 9th intel motherboards?

I got this from amazon warehouse for £76 delivered. Its £110 in Currys. Some say you can overclock on it but I'm not too fussed in putting stress on my motherboard. Looks kinda slick too

I was under the impression only Z series boards can overclock?

Seems like a waste to run a 9600k at 4.3GHz when you easily get 5GHz out of it for very little extra.
