Do you want an 3.5" or 2.5" drive?
You say you want a laptop drive so I assume you mean a 2.5". But can you confirm this

I recommend that because Seagate hdd's are the best in my opinion ive been using them for years!

Could've wanted an external harddrive for his laptop, thats why asked.

When you work in IT you quickly learn: "assumption is the mother of all f*** ups"

*please note asumption is not an uninterupted power supply brand

They did exist once! Got the door stop to prove it
As you knwo H4x3r, sometimes people ask IT questions that make no logiocal sense. Hence qualify, qualify, qualify...

Here's a question for you then?
Is a 7200 generally noiser than a 5400? Or do you think it would depend too heavily on sorage capacity, saved data on board, and rig it is in (temp affected wise)?

I'd think that 5400 is queiter but thats a stab in the dark - guess it depends what function you're applying to the drive.

    blah blah blah etc etc...

    depends on hdd capicty

Ive got 7200 same model 320gb and 160gb and 320gb is louder due to capicty

it vaires on every make and model

I run a 10k raptor on my rig and thought it would be one noisey mofo. But it's pretty quiet even at full speed, but yes it is low in capacity so not that much disk to read. I agree it depends on manufacturer too.
