A police officer is under investigation for racism after telling a demonstrator: 'You don't tell me what to do in my country.'

Police officer Marcus Tyson shouted ‘you don’t tell me what to do in my country’ at an activist who had told him to ‘get out of here’.

He is now facing the prospect of losing his job for gross misconduct after a video was posted online.

Met Police Officer Marcus Tyson is under investigation

Ahhh, a veteran of 29 years now possibly going to lose his job over this. What about his rights?

Racist, how?

This is all getting ridiculous now. They way the R word is just thrown about makes me sick. It devalues (if that's the correct word) genuine racism.

I know. It isn't, is it? sad times indeed.

Crazy, this is how rediculous things are becoming .

How is that racist?

At worst he's guilty of un-professional behaviour for losing his rag, nothing more.

Why don't you post a deal then? ''mate''.

Slightly unprofessional but if you poke a lion then expect a reaction, Shouldn't they be protesting in Turkey anyway?.

Looks like Cameron in that picture lol, Thought he'd found himself another job.!.

But you can legally abuse the police and swear at them without getting arrested.

The police officer should not be put under the stress of an investigation into their conduct.

The protester should be booted out if he doesn't like our country and our laws and customs.

I imagine that in his country of birth the police officers there don't admonish you with words they probably give you a good kicking, kill you then give you another goid kicking just for fun!

You after something

The sad thing here is

If he does get the sack, you can bet he will sue the Police Force for unfair dismissal which he will prob win, and we will be down 1 police officer and a load of taxpayers money and for what?

Because we now cannot call 'our country' - our country?

If you swear at a Police officer or in the presence of one, you can get arrested.

He should have checked his privilege and gave the (I assume) immigrant the keys to his car and house instead of making such a 'racist' comment.

Just a mouthy cop so whats new ?
BUT
a protest is now needed to support the cop (wow me supporting a cop lol) at his unfair over the top treatment

It wasn't even unfair. Over the top, probably, but a fair comment.

Lol, sorry, read it completely wrong!

And a Coronation Street "Star" can make openlyand blatant racist remarks on Twitter and not be charged by the Authorities.

This guy makes a non racist statement of fact and he gets vilified by his own Force

He's not being charged with any racist offences. He has been put under investigation by the Met for allegedly ‘breaching the standards of professional behaviour’ by ‘using discriminatory language’.

If you watch the video, then he does lose his rag and go overboard. Mind you, i would have said a lot worse to these scumbags.

Really?
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/law-and-order/8902770/Swearing-at-police-is-not-a-crime-judge-rules.html

Just to sum it up..

You can swear as much as you like at a police officer, you will not and cannot get arrested for that any more. What you can get arrested for is swearing in a public place with lots of people/kids around, then the police can arrest you for public disorder.

Do this in probably any other country and you'd expect a beating with the truncheon at very least.

Is it me or is that annoying weasel going ''I heard that, I heard that'' sound like someone you want to punch really hard.

Who would want their job nowadays with mobile camera criminals everywhere. Often editing parts of videos that might put a situation in totally different light.

Notice it wasn't the woman who started screaming 'racist' but a white bloke in the background. He also accused the police officer of assaulting the woman. Saying 'don't tell me what to do in my country' is considered assault.

Looking at the video, it seems there is a bit more to it - the bit that has been conveniently edited out. Most likely, the group were racist towards the officer and telling him to get lost. Who knows?

Nice to see you again.

PS. Can you please tell me of a thread (other than a "racist" discussion one) that you have contributed to? I just want to read up on your other thoughts on other non racist matters? Cheers
