A question to all Guinness drinkers.

Someone was telling me that their local club had started serving a special Guinness from cans. They dont sell enough to get draught in and the draught in cans didn't sell well but this new method involves pouring from a special can and then standing the glass on a special plate and passing an electrical charge through it causing the head to form. Has anyone had experience of this and if its any good. I found the following on Wikipedia:
In March 2006, Guinness introduced the "surger" in Britain. The surger is a plate-like electrical device meant for the home. It sends ultrasonic waves through a Guinness-filled pint glass to recreate the beer's "surge and settle" effect. The device works in conjunction with special cans of surger-ready Guinness.

I've seen these in bars in America too...after putting aside my disbelief that the Draught Guinness tap was actually a fake and that my $4 drink was being poured out of a can, I was about to tell the barman off for somehow managing to pour me a flat Guinness (no mean feat!) when he pushed a button and whoosh, up came the head

I want one!! I've just read a blog about them and can't believe Guinness stopped making them because of the lack of uptake for them, but never did any TV adverts for the product!!

Great pint..Love the surger. Can still get cans..It is fantastic for golf clubs etc where tap throughput isnt great. Take out of fridge, quick zap on the surger and a good pint.
