So I go through cashback site to AA and pay for Home contents insurance.

Then within minutes they call me to talk about my quote and see if I have best offer.

I said yes its ok I don't want to change anything and I have already paid for my policy.

He confirms it has been paid ok.

RIGHT

Terms of cashback state that it has to be wholy completed online.

It was until this nougat called for absolutely no reason as the insurance was paid for.

Was this call for 1 reason - to cancel their obligation to pay my cashback?

I think so..... stupid fools.

In too minds whether to cancel now :x

But you did complete it online... he didn't actually do anything did he?

No he didn't go over the details or change anything.

But won't the system show that contact was made so no cashback?

Nothing tracked yet but its only been 3 hours.

I think you'll be ok Col, as you actually did it all online. Last week, my AA travel insurance tracked withing a few hours and was validated the next day.

I think you are right Col. :-(
Why would the AA phone you AFTER you have purchased the Insurance? If you was not happy with the quote, then you would not have paid, then I could understand them phoning you but NOT after you have paid.
You have at least 14 days to cancel the Insurance. :-D

Should be fine, the money changed hands online, so the call shouldnt matter

Rang to cancel 4 days in.

£25 charge would be taken from £94 it cost:x

£25 for 4 days insurance is absolutely ridiculous.

So it never tracked :-( That's a shame :-(

I know. They must have had a person sat on the phone working through a list of sales through cashback sites

Should have left my phone number off to stop them making their sly call.

If you think there is something suss, please report them to quidco. Quidco do not agree with that kind of behaviour...

I agree with Emma.
This behaviour is way out of order. I hope they get some bad publicity because of this.
I don't understand how they could charge you, you are meant to have a 14 day 'cooling off' period, what happened to that?
Have you spoken to the AA?
