i have the cutest tom cat, he's little still and this morning he bought me the BIGGEST dead pigeon you ever saw, don't know how he did it, lol, it's as big as he is!!!! the other week i bought him the noisiest collar i could find but that doesn't seem to have worked the day before yesterday he bought two live mice in the house as well!.
unfortunately i don't have a bf/hubby at the mo and i'm trying to pluck up the courage to move the pigeon, lol!
it's right outside the back door and keeps staring at me through the conservatry door, eeep!!

I've had squirrels, rabbits, stoats and a pheasant ...not very nice as I prefer to see animals alive . Cats will hunt, some more than others, they do slow down as they get older

Hope you've remembered to say 'thankyou' :whistling:

once he bought a live bird in through the cat flap, i screamed which made my daughter scream (she's nearly 13, lol, and as bad as me) my neighbour came rushing round after hearing all the noise thinking we were being murdered or something and had to catch the bird for me
    lol, i'm such a wimp!!

I like the "you dont have a hubby at the mo".

same happened here - 3 of us screaming - thought the bird was dead so i was brushing it onto dustpan - next thing it was flying round - arghhh - can laugh now :-D

mine brough me a pigeon last year and took it into my bathroom. bloody thing was bleading everywhere and still alive. I was getting my little one ready for nursery and when we went to check out the sound my bathroom looked like an abattoir. My little one ran away screaming hands above his head with the blinkin towel I'd asked him to get so I could catch it!!!!

you have my sympathy lol, I have the same problem. I have had my cat attempting to drag a pigeon in the window it was huge, like you said bigger than my cat, has also brought back a dead squirell which was horrible, not to mention the numerous birds and mice.I also went on the hunt for a collar with the biggest bell, he was like santa clause!! had peace for about two weeks till he sussed how to hunt with it on, oh and by the way he was neutered throughout all these episodes so unfortunately it didnt seem to inhibit him in anyway, let me know if you come up with a solution:thumbsup:

darn it, was hoping when he'd been "done" he'd calm down a bit
he's just over a year old now and getting old for the operation but he nearly died a couple of months ago so thought i'd give him a bit of time to feel better first.

its still there, staring at me.......................................

Some cats are just good hunters and will continue to bring "gifts" for you, on the plus side it means he obviously loves you!!:)

aw bless, i think he thinks i'm his mum, when i first bought him home he wouldn't eat so i had to feed him off a teaspoon for a week!

this brought back memories from 10 years ago when we heard a really persistent banging noise coming from the utility room. It turned out to be our cat trying to bring a seagull through the cat flap. The seagull was enormous and was never going to fit through the cat flap, but young Harley kept trying. Fortunately, seagull must have been playing dead, as when we went to get rid of it after putting the cat inside, it had dissappeared.

I opened my back door the other day to find my cat sat there with a frog/toad sat next to him, I couldn't stop laughing, my cat kept prodding it with it's paw, as if to say, look, I bought you something, see? the frog/toad thing just squeaked everytime... lol Had to grab the cat in and wait for his friend to bog off.

Never mind all this chatting, have you done the deed yet???

umm no..... was kinda hoping that someother animal would take it away, hehe, i know that's not going to happen am considering phoning my dad and asking him to come over and move it for me!

Whatever else he loses it won't be his hunting instinct, I'm afraid.

the jingly collars are a waste of time apparantly as a cat learns to move even more stealthily so it doesnt ring

phone the RSPCA, say you've got an injured seagull in your garden and when they arrive, tell them they were too late to save it :whistling:

floppy disks?? what year is it where you are?:whistling:

One of my 4yr olds brings home half-dead frogs, and the other brings home anythng she can carry. Bill oddie would fall of his perch if he saw our dustbin every week.

Maybe the cat is a time travelling cat and he has gone back to the 80's!

no in the 80's floppy discs were alot bigger and were actually floppy, lol,

A few months ago I was getting ready for work and had put my clothes on the rack in the bathroom while I had a shower. Washed dried and about to get dressed when I saw a rat inside my top. It ran out when I picked my top up and went behind the radiator. Left it to my OH and went to work. He shot it at point blank range with an air rifle. Saw one of our cats with a rat next morning - so think it was him. Had been wondering till then if we had an unnoticed infestation!

Oooh, almost identical to one of my cats, Lizzie. She's a really small cat (well, kitten as she's still just under a year) and the other one, George, is slightly over a year and a massive black and white cat with a Hitler tash. They were both done at 3 months, George has never brought anything home, whereas Lizzie has brought me loads of butterflies, a decapitated shrew, a live shrew, the very dead remains of what looked like a greenfinch and a frog. I think we've got a pair of little killers on our hands ;-)

hehe, he's just over a year now and still quite little, bless him, taking him to be neutered very soon, would have done it ages ago but he was really poorly and i wanted to give him some time to recooperate
i have an older cat she's a vicious killer too, but she's never bought anything inside the house, just left mice outside the front door, which i much prefer, lol

Why is your cat buying you stuff, where is it shopping and where is it getting its money from?
