All the compatible laptop chargers in Maplins etc come with compatible tips for different laptops. Maplins is expensive, maybe you can search for cheaper on ebay or Amazon.

Most acres require 19volts 3.4amps. I think you'll struggle getting that from a power bank.

A powerbank is never going to charge a laptop....output is far too low

Thats not really a normal powerbank though is it....it's a laptop specific one with high output designed to charge laptops.
You were talking as though you wanted to buy a normal USB output powerbank and convert to charge your laptop...

Just buy that one then...it comes with the AC jack to fit acer laptops

I want to capture solar energy, and be able to charge my laptop. So I was going to try and get a usb to power jac. But doesn't seem possible. To i am now considering getting a power bank to charge it. I know it is possible. I believe my battery is rated at 65w. So I thought perhaps i be able to charge it from a reasonably sized powerbank

Good luck, but don't say you weren't warned.

What you want to do, cannot be done with your lack of experience.

You don't understand the difference between a battery pack's voltage output and capacity, which means that any attempt to actually do what you want to do, is going to at best waste your money, at worse damage your equipment.

I understand what people are saying. I think i have my answer now, watching this video on youtube

The video you link isn't going to help you do what you want to do.
It also doesn't do the job correctly or safely.

Good luck, and as the other guy mentioned, don't say nobody warned you

ok then, point me in the correct direction i need to look at then This is what i like to do in this video. So i am unsure how I can not do it, if he is doing it safely?

(Regular) powerbank to laptop is not possible.
Solar (directly) to laptop is not possible or safe without more electrical knowledge than you currently have.

Save up for a proper laptop powerbank, or speak to an electrician

I am trying to be environmentally friendly.

    And that is incredibly gallant.

Unfortunately, chucking a broken laptop in the bin because you've damaged it by using the incorrect voltage, is the complete opposite of environmental friendliness.

If you get a 12V SLA battery and *safely* charge this from solar power, then *safely* run an in-car laptop power supply from the battery, you should be OK.
For the price of the adapters you need, the power supply itself, and the tools/components you need to connect everything, you are most likely better off getting a second hand one of the one you linked to earlier in this thread.
