Hi, this is my first post so be nice please,

I have been thinking about getting one of these mini netbooks and was after some advice. I want to be able to watch divx movies on it, use MS office and surf the net both with 3g and Wifi, i also like the idea of XP over other systems. I missed the offer at Aldi on Thursday but noticed the same system on the medion web site.

Any advice would be greatfully received, i like the look of these 2 but am open to ideas.

They're both MSI winds but with slightly different features. I think the medion has wireless N and a lower resolution webcam while the advent has bluetooth. If you wanted one of the three then the advent is probably the one to go for unless you currently have range troubles with wireless G.

Personally my choice would be the eee 901 or possibly the HP mininote but I've only seen the eee in the flesh (I own a 4G).

For the 901 you've just got the choice of Windows with a 12GB disk or Linux with a 20Gb disk, and you can have either version in white or black.

It's around £280 before delivery at the moment, ]here for example
