Advice needed regarding a complaint about HelloFRESH

*EDIT HelloFRESH have been in contact with my wife, and have resolved the issue now. The person my wife spoke to yesterday, was extremely helpful, and was genuinely concerned by what had happened. Thanks to those who replied, I appreciate it.

Firstly, I would like to point out that I have been an active member of this community for many years, and have never felt compelled to post anything like this before.

This evening, my wife was at home alone with my two small children when there was a knock at the door. She opened the door and was confronted by a large man in an apron with ‘HelloFRESH’ on the logo. My wife politely informed him that she was too busy, there were noises of the children in the background that should have confirmed this to him. As she started to shut the door, he moved forward and shouted a load of abuse at her. She managed to shut the door and ran back into the house. We have an open porch where we store football boots, and other stuff, he grabbed some of it and threw it across the gravelled area in front of the house and left shouting more abuse.

I returned to find my wife in tears, and my children shaken. My wife rang the company, HelloFRESH’, who were almost equally as rude, although not abusive. The first person my wife spoke to wasn’t interested, so my wife asked to speak to a manager. The manager came on the phone, and said that they were not responsible as they use a third party for their canvassers, so it was nothing to do with them. My wife asked for her name, she said it was Emma, but refused to give her surname. My wife got even more upset, and said that she would ring the police. ‘Emma’ (I doubt this is her name) said that it wasn’t her problem and was nothing to do with the company.

Has anyone had any similar dealings with this vile organisation HelloFRESH? What are our next steps? They are not interested in our complaint, and I would rather not involve the police, as fear they will not be interested.

Do they have a facebook page? A public complaint on that should get someones attention as they won't want negative press.

You could see if the police are interested, or trading standards?

I have used HelloFresh about a year now.

I am very shocked at your story as the company has always been friendly on the phone, and efficient and friendly with delivery whether I am at home or away.

Hopefully you find someone there who addresses your complaints.

Maybe send a complaint via email to their customer services, I would be very surprised if they write a response which is anything but helpful.

I find a letter to the CEO directly usually gets a response … I find a letter to the CEO directly usually gets a response https://www.hellofresh.co.uk/hellofresh-team/

This is what I will do. I'm realistic; the best, most caring company in the world can have a single rogue employee. I'm just aghast at the attitude of Emma, the customer services manager, who felt it was nothing to do with them.

They seem to have (mostly) good reviews on Trustpilot, here.
Hopefully you've just experienced a rogue 'a*r*s*e*.
Their Global Head of SR is apparently Eva Switala ... at [email protected]
Good luck!

I find it great how the op / "narator" can tell a story..

How can you be alone with two children?

ARE the children not people also? Or do you mean alone with no other adults?

If I was too busy I'm sure I would not answer the door to confront anyone.. (see how I told that..)

Also if anyone coming to my door tripped on my junk and sued me I'd not be happy.

As for shaking the children do you know who did that? That's not good!

Sorry for appearing like an unsympathetic troll but I'm so tired of the lame scene setting and story telling.

If my wife was so upset she would have already called 101 unless she and the kids were so shaken and in fear to do so..
On my return on hearing the story I'd call the police and not the company and I'd certainly not be posting on forums about it.

I tend to find if I'm rude and obnoxious to people they tend to treat me the same way.....

If some jackass came to our door and goofed off, my partner would be calling the police.
No doubt about it, especially if the children were scared witless also.

The guy needs taking off the street.

Going on forums and social media is not the answer, do we need to ask what to do as Google can't provide reason and common sense yet? oO

Id definitley try police but i doubt theyd be interested these days. I wouldnt post it on facebook everybody knows that facebookers are jobless whiney bleaters to be ignored lol

I'm sorry to hear of this, and hope your wife and children a speedy recovery from this horrendous incident. Have you tried nocking on neighbours doors and asking them if they had the same or similar thing happen to them? Or if any of them got the name of this (I was going to say gentleman, but by the sounds of it, he's no gentleman) person?
