advice needed - which service provider

hi everyone,
at the moment i am with a contract with virgin expiring in june 09.
i have these services:
- tel line with unlimited call - £18
- broadband (10meg) - £18
- tv package (2 x indian channels) - £14
so total of £50 per month which is quite expensive for me.
any ideas to make this cheaper or should i just stay with virgin. gave them a call today but was told the only offer they can provide is the asian bundle for £10 a month for the first 3 months and then normal..

Yes, but you would likely loose the Indian channels. There's some basic Indian TV on Sky's Freeview based channels (one off fee + costs of satellite dish and installation).

How much do you/your household download a month? If the answer is not a lot ]Talk Talk and ]Tiscali will provide a more competitively priced phone/internet/tv bundle - but their customer service is diabolical.

I suggest calling Virgin again. Don't ask them to better you deal. Instead tell them that you want to cancel. They will put you through to the Retentions Department, who will try to persuade you not to switch, with some discounts (beware: this will likely trigger a new 12month contract!).
How about telling Virgin you are leaving and see what they offer you, bound to give you some discount if you say you are going to Sky etc, you are really limited to what you can swap to, its going to be either staying with Virgin or Sky, it does sound expensive though

My package currently is
£16.50 for TV pack
£5.00 for line rental, free evening and weekend calls
£5.00 for broadband

I think the indian channels can be added for £5 extra, but dont quote me on that
to get in with sky do i need a bt line - how much does it cost
