    Advice on a new home pc base unit please

    Hi, I'm looking for a pc baseunit for home use for my uncle & aunt; browsing, a few word docs and email.
    want: 2-3gb RAM, 320gb+ HDD, prefer Windows included.
    I am open to building a pc as an option.

    For browsing, a few word docs and email, you don't need a high spec. machine. I'd be looking for an Acer Revo or similar rather than a full size desktop base unit.

    just get a second hand one for £50 and it will easily do the job

    fair enough but in all my time, I have never had a PC fail on me because of hardware.

    software isn't covered by warranty which is the cause of 99% of PC problems I reckon

    just get the cheapest PC you can find as it will more than suit their needs.

    get a nettop, Acer revo or the likes.
    Would be MORE than adequate for their needs.

    Im looking at downgrading to a similar setup an i do a hell of a lot more than just WP and internet.

    In particular I was not impressed by the remark
