Advice on buying and setting up outdoor IP Camera

Hi, don't know if anyone can help... I want to set up 2, possibly 3 IP cameras on my property. I was looking at some IP Cameras, outdoor ones and WIFI enabled then wanted to program then to record direct to my google drive - also looking at things like iSpy app too.. but not much experience in this field.

Can anyone offer any advice if they have done anything similar - best way to go about it? Best IP (Not too expensive) cameras to use etc etc.

    Thanks in advance.

If you have a specific reason for this - go ahead. If not, you are just putting a target on your house that makes it look as if it is worth breaking into.

Most IP cams will offer an FTP option; the issue will be adapting the FTP to something that google drive will accept (no direct FTP access to GD I believe). The adaptation is possible via services such as multcloud.com/price and possibly wappwolf.com/gdr…tor and others, but for full features you may be looking at a subscription. Otherwise you could consider an all-in-one solution such as provided by Y-Cam but again you would be looking at subscription beyond 7 days retention, plus the indoor cams are £100+ each and outdoor £130+, compared to (lesser but probably acceptable) £15/£30+ IP cams eleswhere.

    What a bizarre theory.

I am not familiar with the service, but maybe have a look at this option: https://dvr.webcam/GoogleDrive

    Thanks

I think to work with ispy you need ones that output to rtsp or html.
so then I suppose you could hijack the steam not sure how you could work it with Google drive.
