Advice on travel - Amsterdam to Italy

Hi guys,

I am going on business to Lelystad between March 1st and March 4th (3 nights).

I was hoping to go from there to Amsterdam for a night. And then go from Amsterdam to Rome for 2 nights (arriving back on Monday).

Is train the best/cheapest way to go to Italy from Amsterdam? I just need to do this on the cheap.

Thanks,

I would think that it is cheaper and easier to fly - e.g. easyjet

How far is that airport from rome city centre?

Not too bad - 40 minutes - there's a convenient bus that takes you to near the Termini Station.
