Advice please, who is best: British Airways or Continental Airlines??

We're going to fly to Orlando and these are our choices:

£351.50

11:40 Depart London (LGW)
Arrive Orlando (MCO) 16:25 Fri 6-Nov
Duration: 9hr 45min British Airways 2037

18:35 Depart Orlando (MCO)
Arrive London (LGW) 07:35 +1 day Fri 20-Nov
Duration: 8hr 0min British Airways 2036

£361.50

11:15 Depart London (LGW)
Arrive Orlando (MCO) 15:40 Fri 6-Nov
Duration: 9hr 25min Continental 8247

19:50 Depart Orlando (MCO)
Arrive London (LGW) 08:40 +1 day Fri 20-Nov
Duration: 7hr 50min Continental 8236

What do people think or recommend? It seems leg room and baggage allowance is equal, only difference is that Continental are £10 more expensive, any personal preferences?

Agree - far better service as I use them with my work when I have to fly out to Houston plus I get decent airmiles from them for my KLM card.

Cheers, Scotty Boy!

Thanks, why BA?

Flown with Continental twice to NY - really rude staff and carp service. My oh was vegan and pre-ordered special diet but surprise surprise they had no record of it.

In 26 years of international flights they have never let me down. No problems and always nothing less than exemplary service. People may say I have been lucky but only BA and Quantas have a 100% success rate for me. Even Emirates, Singapore Airlines and KLM have let me down at least once. I had a very poor experience with Continental flying to Honolulu through Houston and Los Angeles, it made a very long jouney an absolute nightmare.

Flew continental to newark from edinburgh and was really pleased with the service, this was 2 years ago if that helps your decision.

BA: Free alcifrolic drinks
Continental: $5 each (assuming you're going economy)

cool, thanks people.

I've been to New York with both BA and Continental. I'd go with BA as they've got a great entertainment system but to be honest there isn't too much difference between them.

Very true, BA's in-seat entertainment rocks

Seats are always excellent, the meals are top notch and the one time I lost luggage with them they moved heaven & earth to get it back. On top of that their lounges are a lot better as well.

I've used them for economy and business class during my travels working abroad.

Of course that's just my POV about them! ;-)

Cheers, Scotty Boy!

thanks, so far I have totalled the scores and its pretty even, any more opinions?

BA by a mile. Flown to the States many times and they are still the best by far. Virgin from manchester - what a joke!! Rubbish.
