Have a hoover washing machine, purchased a 5 year extened warranty from the store I bought it from (currys). Developed a fault 3 weeks ago, engineer came out diagnosed fault as drum bearings said it would be 4 working days till they had the part but the washer was ok to continue to use. The day of the next service call came had a phone call from hoover informing me the part has not arrived but it would be safe to continue to use my washing machine. Over a week has passed since that date, today whist watching the chaser my nipper runs in the front room saying it wasn't me. I go in the kitchen water is gushing from the washing machine (not sure where from) and I've spent the last hour mopping it up, pretty sure the flooring will be ruined. Can I claim against hoover or currys for the cost of a new floor or am I best attempting my insurance.
