AEG Appliances (Tumble Dryer) and warranty?

    Hi everyone,

Tumble broke after three years (cheap Beko) so I've been looking at an AEG one. Just wondering if anyone has ever bought one and what's your view, but also is the warranty 12 months or longer? I can't seem to find a definite answer online and and Very are offering one which states 5 years in the description.

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards,

    JP

bought our AEG condenser TD 10 years ago. At the time it had a 5 year full guarantee (parts & labour). Touch wood only thing that's ever gone wrong is the lamp inside the TD blew.
Bear in mind AEG are part of Electrolux group, so probably all those in that group will essentially be the same-ish machines

Cheers for your reply. Part of the reason I want to get one is because of the reliability; although it's double the amount of the previous Beko I had. Good to know it's still going 10 years later!

I think I'll have to wait till tomorrow and make a few phone calls to find out for sure about the warranty.

    Miele.... everytime :-)

Hi you didn't say what was wrong with your Beko. We have never had a tumble dryer break. We had a Hotpoint for a good 10 years and only got rid because it was the wrong colour. Our second hotpoint was changed under the recent replacement scheme but it was 7 years old. Belt broke twice on the last one but would hardly call that a machine failure as belt s are classed as wear an tear.

Apologies for the late reply, was overseas.

So I've just opened it up, and it turns out a really small pebble got jammed between the drum and container. Problem solved!

No worries I had this stupid thought in my head your tumble dryer had failed just because of a snapped belt. Nothing much to go wrong with these especially the cheaper models. Programmer, motor and a heater element and that's about it.
